Battlefront: Am I doing something wrong?

After figuring out the crash issues of my windows installation, I have been able to resume playing Battlefront. I mostly like the game, but I feel like I'm missing something.

I'm playing the game on easy because I'm finding it incredibly difficult.

I'm playing in single-player campaign mode.

The problem is this: On most compaigns I win I have something like 60 kills, and the nearest bot on my team has around 10. And I'm BARELY winning the matches. The top competing team bots have something like 30 kills each. If I don't go defend my checkpoints and constantly kill the incomings, I have no chance of winning. So I'm always required to do defense, and thus, I don't get to see most of the map!

We start with about 120 on each team, how come I'm (personally) required to kill HALF the opposing team in order to win?

It feels like I'm doing something wrong, because this can't be how the creators intended this game to be played, can it?

Try ordering your bots around and capture more spawn points.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

I always worked on capturing enemy command posts. Haven't tried ordering around my squadmates yet though.

Get a group of your men.

I find it's more fun to play with a friend. Dosn't paticulary make it easier, just more fun.

I like the challenge.

Yay Geonosis!

Play online, I think that was the games main intention.

KOTOR II 0vV/\/5. Or will. Ah we all know it'll 0Vvh anyways. So it does.

On this day, the day Wednesday, November 17, on the year of (your) Lord, 2004, I declare KOTOR II will 0uu|\l. Even though everyone already knows this, it is now officially declared.

I've been having the same trouble as Brian... The only thing that's helped me is to hover around an enemy command post in a vehicle and shoot them as they spawn, since the bots never seem to really obey my commands.

I haven't even tried multiplayer yet. Is it worthwhile?

Yeah well then the games secondary intention was to lag cause every single match I'm in there is huge amounts of lag in it. Battlefront was cool for about a week then the whole concept got rather boring.

Is it me, or do headshots seem really random in that game? I take a sniper rifle and take perfect shots 1 after another, aiming clearly at guys' heads (it's taking up the entire center of the crosshairs), and it's a miss every time. I run around as a darktrooper with a shotgun, randomly firing around and 11 headshots.
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

Alot of things are off and wrong with that game... but I still like it. :) For example the whole Godlike hero thing is just lame.

I've also noticed that enemies hit me substantially less in that game when I'm standing still as opposed to shooting. Seems they trained a bit too much in shooting moving opponents and not enough in target practice.
