Sad news for those that are playing the WoW Beta...

According to the front page on http://www.worldofwarcraft.com, they are going to close the US servers tomorrow, which means that all accounts and characters are going to be DELETED. That means everyone that is playing the beta only has a few hours left to enjoy their characters because they are going to be gone tomorrow. I'm bummed now because I've grown attached to my three characters and I haven't even attained the bear form for my druid. :(

Oh yeah, and funny thing is that they just released a patch today :p

Well she was a good run while she lasted... I'm not planning on paying a monthly fee for it but the beta was fun. :) Back to WarCraft 3.

Well, that's annoying. It took three days to download the damn client, and the HL2 comes out a couple days later... didn't get much use out of that!

I had a Level 4 Human Mage (Server 34)
Level 11 Undead Priest (Server 35, when the above server stopped responding)

I should note that it is only NORTH AMERICAN servers that are going offline. The europeon (and assuming the aussie ones too) are still running so you guys are lucky bastards that can keep playing for free :mad:

As far as I can tell, there were no European or Australian servers... you only had the choice of selecting which part of America you were from: East, Central, or West. Hence my ping of like 600.

That's probably because you downloaded the US version of the Beta. There are europeon servers, as implied with this statement:

Odd... I heard somewhere that the servers will go offline at 3 AM let the servers are still on and it is 3:10 as I write this.

Well, all the servers are going to shut down in less than a half-hour from the time of this posting. Whhaaa... so sad. I'll mess you Melinda and Orwell :(
