Man. All I want is a quick easy tutorial or free script for a mouse event. Everybody is adding all this 'cool' stuff to make it 'better'. It took me 30 minutes of googleing to find a script generator that generated a simple onmouseover script that I used.

javascript, if used sensibly (in combination with CSS and DHTML), can create equally good text-based visuals, rather than an overly "bulky" heavy dependency on images.
