Anyone else feeling the pressure?

I took the last two days off, one my choice and the other given to me, from college and everything, and I looked at my school schedule and I realized I have so much to do. I feel like I'm being squeezed more and more because of my own procrastination and irresponsibility.

I have a criminal justice project due tomarrow *squeeze*

I have my criminal justice test tomarrow and I read probably 20 pages from the 4 chapters I was supposed to read *squeeeze*

I have a linguistic problem set due tomarrow *squeeeeze*

Which means I have a linguistic test sometime next week and I haven't read any of the chapter *squeeeeeze*

I have a 5 page english research/persuasive paper that I need for next tuesday *squeeeeeeze*

I have less than a month til finals *squeeeeeeeze*

I'm probably going to fail Political Theory(due to laziness) and Linguistics(due to not knowing what the hell I'm being taught) *squeeeeeeeeze*

For some reason, my date for picking classes for next semester keeps getting pushed back, and meanwhile everyone else is signing up for classes and I don't know wtf is up with my date getting pushed back *squeeeeeeeeeze*

I've been fiscally responsible until lately, in which I've been spending money every which way for little inane things*squeeeeeeeeeeze*

Academic probation and financial ruin, here I come! *craps self from all the squeezing*

Anybody else under pressure lately?

I'm failing chemistry 12, and I have no money for car insurance...

I'm failing English and Government, the two classes I need to graduate.

Physics test tomorrow morning, and algebra test on Sunday. I had to give in my AI project on Wednesday.

hey cutie. well that sux I didn't know you were under that much pressure, but yes I completely know what that feels like when all the deadlines and all that are coming up and it seems like you have so much to do. Just take a step back and a deep breath and tackle each thing at a time. I hope things get better but here's a squeeze that I hope will help... *huggles* stay positive, talk to you later k ;) :)

It's funny; I should be feeling pressure (finals beginning soon; haven't started studying. Also this assignment that's due tomorrow that I'm going to be up all night working on. And a couple of tests next week...), but I dont. My philosophy can be summed up in one word: "meh". I figure it'll all turn out okay, and I just don't worry about it. So far, so good.

ooooh boy.

Pre-calc (getting a D (65%))
test tomorrow, final on monday.

Physics (getting a C (73%))
test tomorrow.

Chemistry (getting a C (72%))
test tomorrow (should be a bit easier... get a cheat sheet).

Spanish 3A (getting a C+ (77%))
test tomorrow.

Composition 11 (getting a B+ (93%))
should go up because of the final paper we handed in today.

amazingly, my dad barely said anything to me about the precalc grade. he's the computer engineer who knows all this calc stuff... but he's never home... so if he pulls the "you shouldnt be almost failing, i know all this, ask me" stuff.. "you're always on business trips."

It's my mom who's freaking out about it. what with the car insurance and all "if you make the insurance go up, you're paying the difference!"

I really want to go to RIT, but this quarter's grades are prolly gonna eat away at my chances of getting in. unless there's someone here who goes to RIT and has even failed a class or two and still got in... speak up... otherwise agree and give me silent consent :)

thankfully, senior year is gonna be easy as hell, but at the price of taking all the hard classes this year. (though, prolly taking out calc and doing it next year)

Kieran, don't worry, academic porbation ain't that bad. :p No financial aid, but.. eh.. *cough*.

Yeah, so I'm on academic probation and need to pass all my classes this semester or I'm booted out of school. Got a D on my last math test. I know how you feel.

I don't have financial aid. My parents are paying for it, and then next year the government is going to pay for it ala Mongomery GI Bill

I'm actually doing very well this year, with minimal effort. :D

I hope that helps! Suckers. :p

I've actually read very few of my text books this semester. Its my first year and all, but the lectures are just my prof repeating what the text book said. I go to the lecture, take notes and I seem to do okay.

I have finals in a few weeks. No worries. I'll study some but I don't freak out about it. Me stressing over it won't help anything, if I relax I can concentrate more.

I have a Chem essay due on Tuesday. No big deal, 1000 words already have a rough draft done. I did it on something I know a lot about: fast food. It's title "Is McDonald's killing me?" I'm actually suprised at the results.

Yeah, some pressure but I don't worry too much.

45 hours a week on night shifts + 9 hours of school + 10 hours of traveling in between.

Next week I have to write 1000 words on Un Homme et Son Péché. Recently finished basic bio on the respiratory system, advanced bio on the respiratory system + CPR and common diseases, this week I finished advanced bio on the human reproductive system, spermatogenesis/ovogenesis, and next week I have to start another adv. bio class (my last!) on embryo devellopment.

Maths and Further Maths is going okay, aside from the large maths workload. Physiwicks is bacly organised and I'm averaging a high C, and Chemistry has gone down the crapper - 30 people in a class, a pregnant teacher and one who wears a bow tie and enough hexane to set anything on fire, and about half the class on target for U's... I'm on a D. Then there's business Russian which is a slog.

Then there's FFXI, Evil Genius and Halo eating my time away at home, and I'm getting less and less sleep as I do homework at ungodly morning hours.

I've got a lab due on the last day of class, and a homework assignment the Monday before that. I've got a test in an hour. Aside from that, it's finals.

yeah, I'm under a ton of pressure these days, too. I often wish these problems would congeal and manifest themslves into some sort of tangible object that I could fight and kill.

I'm currently fighting for my future. I've tried 4 times to pass beginning algebra, but I can't do it. No matter what i do, I end up failing every test, and no one gives a s*** when it comes to helping me on campus. I tried the math tutors they have available, but they did nothing to help. I even hired an outside tutor for some one-on-one time, but that wouldn't help either.

I'm currently being assessed to see if I'm eligible for some sort of math substitution (in which I could take another class in place of math if i'm found to have some legitimate reason why I can't pass math) which would fulfill the requirement. This would get me off of the hook so I could transfer to a better college. This is my last hope.

If this doesn't work, I'll be stuck at the same college until i can pass, which is likely to be for eternity.

heh, that's why i won't be going to college...i could care less for learning **** i don't care to understand, and i'd go insane from the pressure and prolly end up worse off.

College life...

1) I have a journal due Monday for Composition 1, and I need five more entries in it.

2) I have a paper due Monday for Comp, it has to be about another essay that I haven't read yet

3) An unknown paper probably due a week from Monday, but I haven't actually gotten the assignment yet

3) Math test on Monday, with the final a week after that

4) 5-10 page Western Civilisation paper due a week from Tuesday, as well as my final the same day

5) Visual Basic program due a week from Tuesday, as well as my final the same day (Really no problem; I have 100% in this class)

Plus, I have weekly rehearsals for the Xmas show at the local theatre. It's a community event, primarily singing and dancing. I also have weekly clarinet lessons, piano lessons, and I'm in two bands. It's a good thing I have an A in all of my classes right now.

All of this, and I'm only 13. I'm in college on a program that allows high school students to take college classes and get high school and college credit. Best of all, it's technically high school, so the state pays for everything, including my textbooks!

Did anyone ever think that if we spent less time on the internet and playing video games, we'd get a lot more schoolwork done?:p

Did you get bumped up a grade or two? (btw, I hate you).

I failed a Diff Eq test today. It was over Laplace transforms. And I haven't been going to class more that once a week (9am is freakin' early). And I didn't do the homework. And I didn't study, so yeah.

I think I did ok on my other 4 midterms though. I have a CS lab due at midnight, better get started.

You also have a tomarrow problem!
Nothing to see here, move along.
2004-11-19, 5:02 PM #28
1. Write a paper on Job 26 for Monday.
2. Finish my Real Analysis homework for Monday.
3. Operations Research test for Tuesday.
4. Finish writing my interepreter (my professor invented a programming language) on Tuesday.
5. Work two doubles over the weekend as a manager for a Boston Market.

Don't know how I'm going to fit it all in, but I'll manage.

Yes, I did. 8th grade at age eleven, and I was reading newspapers when I was 4.

Oh, and just about everyone hates me when I tell them that.;)

I have a software engineering project due in three weeks. No , I did not procrastinate until then. Unlike last year, the professor handed out the projects well into the 2nd half of the semester. All of us have to become proficient in Oracle really quickly. Although I've been designated the man to do the Oracle **** because I'm the most experienced with SQL.

Not to mention I have other classes with programming assignments. I spent the greater part of this week doing a kernel that does not work at all. Why it does not run, I'm not sure.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
