Kill Bill

I spent the last few hours watching both films back to back, and I've been contemplating which one i like more. Kill Bill 1 had more action especially when the bride cut up all those people in the nightclub . Compared to that, Vol 2 seemed kind of bland the first time I watched it. The trailer fight with elle was pretty good, lots of violence with some humor mixed in, but the whole sequence when the eye was pulled out and stepped on was a bit much, even for me, and i'm pretty seasoned when it comes to violence. Well, I guess the b**** had it coming. The way bill died was sort of cheap, IMO I was expecting a huge battle, not having them sit in a chair talking and then have the bride finish bill with a single move. CHEAP!!!!!!!!

All in all, I liked vol. 1 more. Vol 2 needed less talk, more blood.

Equally, I can't watch it as two seperate films. The balance is excellent in my opinion.

The dialogue and character of the second film more than makes up for the almost comedy amount of violence in the first film.

I count them as both one and the same movie. Each one great on its own, but each also enhances the other. Hence, I'm voting "both".

Part 1 was ok, not really interested in seeing Part 2.

I just really wanted to see Part 1 to watch Lucy Lui get slaughtered.

Same here. They aren't even really the same kind of movie even though they make one movie.

Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2 were both great movies. I completely agree with AKPiggot - they both complement each other, so you have to see them both. Hence, my vote goes to "both".

Both, because of the aforementioned reasons.

The background and depth Part 2 gave to the characters made me love Part 1 even more. So 1 > 2.

Yeah. It would be best to consider them as one entity. Yet, I still forced myself to choose between them, and I chose part 1, because I think the overall integrity was better in that movie. It was kind of smooth from the beginning to the end. Part 2 was more humane, which is not bad, but it lessened the smooth flow and integrity of the movie.

My group was laughing so hard when her eye was pulled out.

I love them both, but this is the reason Vol. 2 is better than Vol. 1:

Volume 1 was sufficently awful enuogh for me to ensure I will never watch another.
The storyline was terrible, the acting worse and the fighting, ugh.
I enjoy a good fight in a movie, even when its unrealistic, but the fighting in this made me laugh my head off, and not in a good way.

Volume 2 is the superior film. Vol. 1 is all action, and Vol. 2 is all story, which is why I <3 it more.

It wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. It was kind of a poke at the Hong Kong Kung Fu movie and Japanese anime.
