Hey guys,

I've been hanging around here for a while. Lurking if you will. I used to post under a different name every now and then a while ago. Just recently I've been checking in a little more frequently. This forum is great. Good source of entertainment during the crusty-eyed morning hours while I'm trying to wake up.

Anyway, to make this post worth something...

How did the rest of you find Massassi? Did you guys start posting right away, or did you kinda hang in the shadows for a while?

Sorry if this sort of thing has been done before.

I also found www.massassi.net while searching for JK related stuff. I didn't even realize there was usch a fanbase, and when I found this place and saw it's huge download section, I was hooked. I mostly just downloaded tons of levels back in 2000 when I was about 11 (I also reviewed a few of them). Later I started looking around the forums, and I lurked on and off for a while. I kind of forgot about the place until about 2002, when I started coming back here again. In January of 2003, I finally signed up on the forums. 1600 posts later, I'm now 16 and love this site to pieces and visit it most days. ;)

I discovered Massassi while browsing the links over at JediNights (Massassi was once hosted there), back in 1998 I believe it was (maybe early 1999). I wasn't a lurker for very long, and this is my 3rd name that I've used on these forums, as well as what I released levels under.

I've been semi-lurking for a couple of years now....Will probably continue to do so.

Charoziac pointed me this way about four or five years ago as a good place to download levels. I found the forums, lurked for a bit and then registered a name.

I have lurked since around 2001.

Found it through

I found Massassi in 2002 when looking for levels for JO. And I lurked, occasionally, the forums from 2002 to the beginning of this year, when I was practically forced to post. I was always afraid, for a reason, that if I once made the mistake of registering and posting, there was no way out. And that was an all too well justified fear...

Hah, JHS, I remember that level. I also remember the constant supply of threads bashing it.

I personally found JK through the zone.
Life is beautiful.

I cannot for the life of me remember exactly how I found out about Massassi. I know it was sometime in 1998 or 1999, and I was probably here to find out about editing rather than download stuff (I seem to remember downloading most of my add-ons from Hyperview...anyone remember Hyperview?)

Anyhow, I didn't even visit the forum for a long time, then after I did, I didn't start posting for awhile either. When I started actually producing work I'd make showcase threads and stuff, that's how I started posting. And I believe that was...late 2000. Hm.

Anyway, glad to have you aboard, Bluevain. :)

Hyperview and JK Outpost were great. So many files lost when those sites went down. :/

I was looking for JK cheats back in '99, I believe, and stumbled across Massassi. I was hooked when I saw the download section, so yeah, I just downloaded levels for months. I ventured into the forums in early 2000, lurked for a while, then registered. Even after that, I've never been a big poster. Just little bouts here and there when my life gets uncluttered.

You can all blame Connection Problem for my being here, he linked me to some crazy threads, the first one that piqued my interest was the one with that thing that was sweeping through the world's oceans, but what really hooked me was this one thread about this guy that flipped out on some old lady because she was yelling at him because he wouldn't hold the door for her, and everyone jumped down his throat... good times.

I can't remember, I think I must have stumbled across Massassi either through searching for JK stuff or being linked to it on the zone. I miss the early days of JK.

I first found massassi (about 1999) via "NF NH NC SBX JHS @ massassi.net" but only visited via files links. Soon after, (2000)I accidently went to the main page, and saw a 'chat' link. I woddled around in the chat and made enemies with emon, then finally (2001) decided to post on the forums under the 3rd person persona "JediKirby" in which everyone hated. I lurked and posted on TACC a bit too. Since then, I've become bisexual, single, hooked on masturbation, alcohol, and a couple of illegal drugs, gotten off of the illegal drugs, became an alcoholic, started and killed over 20 JK projects, and watched 4 of my close friends commit suicide. Massassi is a sickness...

After rediscovering the JK games 3 years ago, I discovered that the JK Outpost was long gone so I had to find another site which could have been as good as JKOutpost was...

I frait started coming to Massassi in 1999/2000 for levels. People always pointed to Massassi to get the levels that people were playing on the zone. Didn't register with the forums until May 2001. I haven't looked back since.

I do not remember exactly how I got to it, but it was through Jedi Nights (or whatever it was called) when it was still hosted there. Then I got a name or two, posted very little for a while, then I registered BobTheMasher and started posting like normal. Ahh, the good old days.

God sent me a vision of Massassi whilst I was entranced in a deep slumber. That is how I found it.

I found Massassi in '98-99 when looking for add-on levels. I believe I got to them through JediNights.

I've always been a bit of a lurker, having periods of going away(though I would always check the news for anything interesting) and then lots of activity. I've been a rather regular visitor again for the past year or so. I just don't post much. :p

Found through things like editing and mods.... it was the place to be.

I don't think I lurked too long before I started posting. I'm chatty :)

James Bond was looking at a thread while we were in the lab at uni, I was reading over his shoulder because he kept giggling like a little girl (I'm so gonna pay for that!). I asked, he said it was a forum he frequented, mumbled something about a star wars game, told me to sign up. I registered right there and immediately posted (way too opinionated to lurk), notched up a couple thousand posts in my first few months here, have since calmed down a tad, but I still have #massassi open permanently.
