I've seen JFK, Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July. They're good films; JFK is one of my favorite films.

he promoted homosexuality among his men, to form unity on the battlefields... he also supported raping the women and pillaging but he was still ... gay which is wierd cuz he was the greatest conquerer ever

I think most the homosexuailty aspect of soldiers back in that day is taken out of context. They say "love" and you automatically think it involves sex.

As for Alexander, historians say he was bisexual not homosexual.

Besides, what's wrong with being gay? Are you saying people who are gay cannot rise to a position of power?

He's a better writer than director.

The script to Scarface for instance was one of the best things about it.

Although Platoon is awesome.

I loved Platoon. I just saw Alexander, and I enjoyed it too. I can see how a lot of people might get bored with it, but I'm an ancient history nut....

He's terrible. The Doors is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
