I remember back in the day when I got a Sega Genesis and Sega CD, and absolutely hated the Sony PlayStation. Then Nintendo 64 was everything. I absolutely hated PlayStation. I remember '97 with all those commercials for Final Fantasy VII and when I played it at Toys'R'Us I thought it sucked. But then, for some reason, I started liking it. I got it for computer, it blew me away. I was excited about the next Nintendo system, but then I saw this magazine article about the release of the PlayStation 2 in Japan and got really excited about it. I got it on the day it came out. I loved it. I hated everything else. Especially Xbox. I like and own a GameCube though.

Anyways, now that I'm thinking, PlayStation, the original one, was so awesome. It was so artfully designed. It just looks so cool. On ps2.ign.com there's a picture of a PlayStation. I think back now, and it feels so right. That is a console. Nostalgia.

Twisted Metal! Wragghghghg!
imo 3 is the best.

Yeah, I have no psx, but about 9-10 psx games with a ps2.

I liked Sega Genesis too... hours and hours of fun on both...

There were great games for the PSX but I always preferred the superior N64 hardware. PS2 let me down the first time I saw the attrocious load times and with its mediocre limited initial release. Of course the PS2 also has its fair share of great games. I'm thinking that the PS3 will be the one that finally persuades me to buy one of their consoles.

Am I the only person who really liked FF8? That was cool.

Also for PSX memories, I would look to Tekken 3 (at which i OWN with Paul or King or Jin), Thrill Kill (mmmm.... car boot sales!), ISS Pro Evolution II, GT 1 and 2, G-Police (SO underrated) and Wipeout (1 and 2).

Oh so good.

Yes, the Playstation had alot of classics. It was the system that made gaming more mainstream and less of a "nerd activity".
