I remember back in the day when I got a Sega Genesis and Sega CD, and absolutely hated the Sony PlayStation. Then Nintendo 64 was everything. I absolutely hated PlayStation. I remember '97 with all those commercials for Final Fantasy VII and when I played it at Toys'R'Us I thought it sucked. But then, for some reason, I started liking it. I got it for computer, it blew me away. I was excited about the next Nintendo system, but then I saw this magazine article about the release of the PlayStation 2 in Japan and got really excited about it. I got it on the day it came out. I loved it. I hated everything else. Especially Xbox. I like and own a GameCube though.
Anyways, now that I'm thinking, PlayStation, the original one, was so awesome. It was so artfully designed. It just looks so cool. On ps2.ign.com there's a picture of a PlayStation. I think back now, and it feels so right. That is a console. Nostalgia.
