Got $50 to spend

Hehe, I got a $50 debit card from this settlement (don't laugh that I drive a Hyundai, I like my car), and I'm looking for things to spend it on.

As for Half Life 2, I'd like to play it but I still need to finish Painkiller and Doom 3, and those games haven't given me much motivation to finish lately. I think I may be getting bored with FPS games in general. I know I can't play more than 1 level at a time without getting a headache. I don't want to get burned with another mediocre game.

I've been planning on getting Prince of Persia anyway, so yeah. World of Warcraft I'll get as well, though probably in a month when I can have broadband all the time. Hopefully by then I'll also have a job.

Magnatune has a bunch of CDs that are really good. Hmmm.

I've wanted to get the RvB DVDs for a while now, but perhaps a $20 membership would be more worth it, as I could get all the archives then?

I want the Firefly box set as well, though maybe for Christmas, or something.

Help me decide!

No question. RvB comes close, though.

Maybe you should try some totally different type of game than FPS? You said you are losing interest in them, at least temporarily. There are some great strategy and other games available after all. But of course you know, yourself, better than others what is it that you like...

Even if you're tired with FPS, if you don't have FarCry, I'd recomend it, for the sheer beauty of the island environment and all the fun vehicles and missions, if nothing else.

Half-Life 2, hands down, but RvB is a close second just because it's hilarious...

well since you don't have Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, i would have to say Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Thanks guys. I think I've reached a decision. I'll buy Half-Life 2 on my checking account, POP on this card, and WOW in January. RvB maybe for Christmas or something.

New question: if I buy Half Life 2 in the store, can I upgrade it to the Silver Package via Steam? I want CDs because I regularly reformat, and don't want to be bothered with downloading everything all over, but I still want HL:Source and DoD:Source.

Wait until you get 10 more bucks before buying HL2. Otherwise, get WoW.

I'm gonna bite the bullet and my pocketbook and get both.

Nobody on the upgrade issue?
