Well it only took me about 6 months to sort out a) and about 4 weeks to sort out b)
Oh right.
b) is a 747-200 for FS2002, called Ready for Pushback 747-200. Fantastic addon. This is supposed to be operated by three crew, and you have to operate it by yourself. Clicky central.
a) is an INS. Inertial Navigation System. Basically a navigation unit. You whack in your present co-ordinates, align it, then whack in where you want to go, and off you go. You can couple it to the autopilot and it will control the plane.
Seperately, they are formidible to say the least. Whack them together, and you have a very labour intensive addon. I'm by no means proficient at it, and I just spent 1 and a half hours using it to try and learn how to do it properly.
RIght! What have I done?
Started it up, sorted out a MAJOR problem which was stopping me from aligning the INS properly, took off, managed to get it to go from A to B via INS coupled Autopilot (something I havent be able to do as of yet, thanks to that problem). Then I got it to fly a standard approach route, then did a circuit of the airport, and finally managed to get the autopilot to go into landing mode, and got it to do an autoland.
Almost anyway. It was going good and then it carked it and was going too low, so I gently pulled it back a bit. Side to side it was perfect.
Yeah. Im a nerd.
