Does this use steam or does it still use won? I recently got the game and the in game multi-player tried to connect to won and then it said I needed to update it. Then I ran the updater thing and it said there weren't any updates... I was at some website and it said half-life uses steam. The first and the second. Is that right? if so how's it work? And does that include the team fortress thing?
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Yeah, you'll need to download Steam and register your CD Key. Technically, you don't even need the CD, just the key, because it downloads all the game files you need to your computer.

You can get Steam here.

And yes, you can download Team Fortress (and lots of other mods) through Steam. Steam is kind of hard to explain, but you'll understand it once you start using it. It's great.

That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

It uses Steam. As for how any of it works, I can't say. I downloaded Steam, found out I was going to have to download 2 gig of updates, and said 'Screw that'. Plus it appeared that 90% of the games were Counter-Strike. I never liked Counter-Strike. With those two things in mind, I saw little reason to go any further.

It's usually easier to go to the MP menu through a game, instead of streight through STEAM. That way you only get servers for one game.
