So cold...
2004-11-26, 10:46 PM #1
It's 17 C in this house... I'm freezing... uhg I hate the fact my dad turns down the heat to save money. I know it has to be done but I can't surive much more of this... I need 22 C to feel comfy and 26 C to sleep like any other house plant... I keep the computer on 24/7 to heat the room but it isn't working. The last friend I had over threw up in the night he was so cold... uhg this is insane. Post your cold experiences... or pictures of hot girls to warm me up.

Last winter, our furnace went out completely. Fun.

And by the way... Sexay.

17C... er... 62.5F. 23C... slightly above room temp. Okay, now I know what the hell you're talking about. :p 62 degrees though? That's pretty insanely pushing it.

"You're so cold, but you... feel alive"

<3 that song

Don't have any pictures of hot girls to post, so I can't post that.

Don't really have any cold stories... closest thing I've got is that the song "So Cold" has helped me relieve some good amounts of anger... don't know what it is about the song, more specifically the music behind the lyrics, but I find it to be incredibly soothing when I'm really pissed off.

[Edit]Ironically, I'm now rather cold. Coincidence? I think not.[/Edit]

You could always burn things to stay warm... like sticks, parts of your computer desk, the neighbor's cat... whatever you can find.

In so. cal, the weather rarely goes below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I love living here, its almost worth the reputation you get for being a SO Californian.

That's right, Page. I went out today wearing shorts and a T-Shirt. Yesterday I wore a long sleeve shirt, and got hot so I rolled up the sleeves (Monday was hella cold, though, 36F with the wind chill factor coming off of the snowy San Bernardino mountains).

I think I'm going to go swimming tomorrow, if it isn't windy, as it has been the last few days.

The heck with cold, I'm thirsty!
2004-11-27, 2:37 AM #11
Heh heh... If it's so cold, you probably just have to wear more clothes. I have a room temperature of 22 C (71.6 F) here. It's less than I would prefer when awake, but I can sleep much better in lower temperatures, so it's a trade-off. But 17 C... Gee... You need gloves :p

At least the houses are warm here in Finland. The outdoors certainly aren't...

In Norway it is usually so cold, that you have to eat ice cubes to warm yourself up.
Sorry for the lousy German

I'm in Florida where it's usually around 85f in winter and never below 90f the rest of the year.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

My heater's gone out, and I've had to sleep in 20 F coldness. 20 F. It then proceeded to dip down to 0 F during the next day, until we got our heater fixed. I had 5 blankets on top of me, and still felt the cold.

Wrap yourself up in a blanket. That's what I do a good six months a year. Of course my room has 4 glass walls...

How the hell can you sleep at 26? Heck, I can't sleep at 20! I like it at around 15c.

It's 45 F here right now, according to WeatherBug anyway. If it quits raining, I can go clean out my car.

I used to occasionally go barefoot in the snow.

Wow... You honestly think that -10 is THAT cold? I've been in -45 before... When its -10, all I need on is my jacket. Hat and gloves are optional.

I like budling up in warm clothes and extra blankets when it's cold like that. Much more comfortable than tryng to sleep when it's hot.

Yeah, going to bed cold and bundling under the covers is way better than having to sprawl out on your sweaty bed with no covers.

2004-11-27, 4:14 PM #38
Yeah... It wasn't funny to be on perimeter watch in the Army encampment, in the middle of the night when it was -30 C (-22 F). And you are not supposed to move at all, lest you reveal your position to the "enemy". So, you stay motionless at -30 C for over half an hour, staring at an empty snow filled landscape... I can tell it was one helluva long half an hour! :p

Yeah, but this winter's been damn cold in Orange and Volusia county. It was 45 last night at my grandma's in Orange City. I was freezing, even in my trenchcoat.

Umm... -10 Celsius is considerably warmer than -10 Fahrenheit. (-10C equates to +14F, as you must remember the 32-degree shift)

Anyway, that's still T-shirt weather for me, as it is until less than -10 Fahrenheit (-23 Celsius) While Michigan doesn't get much snow at all, the winter lows can nearly rival those of Alaska.
