I can't wait for Mechwarrior 5, graphics should be appropriately gritty and realistic. If they ever announce it.

There was a MechWarrior 5. It was cancelled. I saw the screenshots, and I was pissed.

I was a big fan of the MechWarrior series. I love all of the games, even back to the blocky days of MechWarrior 2 - many good times. Those Dummkopfs over at FASA and MS better be working hard on getting a new one out...

In all honesty--I haven't played the games, but I have read some of the books back when they were BattleTech. Good stuff they are/were.

Mechwarrior? Pfft, I'd settle for ANY decent Battletech game right now. Best universe ever and yet they don't do nearly enough with it.

Why am I not shocked some doofus pulled this. Now the defender... that shocked me...

I'd kinda liked to see a new MechWarrior game myself it's been so long and most of the last games to do with Mech's got slapped on the Xbox which I don't have. :(

There are a bunch of player developed MW games meandering along at the moment, but none of them are near completion.

mektek.net have just finished another mech addon for MW4 though, with something like 15 mechs and a bunch of new weapons.

MW5 was scratched ages ago unfortunately, crazy mech addicts ring up MS every now and again to find out what's happening, but no information so far.

It was my first mech-ish game ever, and I still love it. A bit twisted, but still realy cool. <3 that lightning zapper thingie.

Mech Warrior 3 was the best. Although I do like the Commander and Assualt games you just don't get the:

I only played/beat 2 Mechwarrior games. The one on the SNES and Mechwarrior Mercenaries. I own Mechwarrior 2 but never got around the completing it. I dunno if any of the others would work on my old PC though (I should look them up).

I loved MechWarrior 2. I wish they had made another game were you got to play as the Clans. I got tired of being some Inner Sphere or non-clan faction :/. I don't follow the storyline at all really, so I apologize if this is an impossibility or some such.

Mektek's Mech Packs are good, the Newest MW4 version, Mercenaries was great with Solaris 7
There was going to be a Mechwarrior 3028 if I remember correctly, looked swank
In the meantime I've got Battletech books to read while I wait

make it happen!

Meh.

They went downhill quickly. They focused too much on making it look pretty.

Mercs... Holy crapload of Mechs. Missions? You choose em. Lots of customizing the mechs with the weaponry.

The only mech games I have are mech 2 mercs original and mech 2 mercs titanium edition.

neither one works very well on winxp, so I can't play it. :(

(The start screen makes a looping windows alert noise that won't go away and totally detracts from the experience. Stupid half-a**ed programming :mad: )
