Maybe its the fact I am in BCIS right now with an inconsiderate teacher and this helped lighten the mood, but I found todays Penny Arcade to be quite hilarious.

First time I played through KotOR, I played on the light side. Second time, I started out intending to be on the Dark Side, but I just couldnt do it... my character had redeemed himself even before getting off of Taris.

This all has inspired me to once again try to go through the game on the dark path . . . I've restarted the game 2 times before with that intention . . . I'll see if i can do it right this time.

They won't let you, you have to target them and it doesn't allow you to do that.

Kotor seemed to confuse "being on the dark side" with "being a jerk to everyone". I don't think a Dark Jedi would go about helping muggers and kicking puppies...

There is no attack button, all the attacks are animated automaticlly, you jsut tell them to attack, and you get different types of attacks to use and such.


I hate telling people that because it is always a big turn-off from the game, but it is such a great game, you just have to get used to the combat system. I loved it, and I'm not much of an RPG fan.

I did light first followed by dark. That is how I play most RPGs. It's tougher to play on the dark side, but I don't have the problem of not being able to go through with it like a lot of people do. I know some guys that just outright can't do it. A little extreme, but whatever floats their boats.

If I recall, I had more fun as a dark jedi. Just because I could talk smack to everyone.

Not really. I liked Jedi Academy's more. When I played JK, I killed WeeGee and Rahn said the line about the Dark Side (like in Level 15 if you went evil). By the time I got to level 14 I was a light Jedi.

it takes awhile. The best way is to use some sort of mod that has apocalyptic-strength weapons. Just turn on invul, and start blasting the s*** out of weegee. The stronger the weapon, the easier it is. Wegee is magsealed, so I recommend something that explodes.
