Yes, yes, yes I know "welcome to last year man" but hey I live in a backwater country and we just got it.

This movie has been hyped up the whazo by everyone I know online so we saw it as soon as it opened and for once the hype wasn't unwarranted. I love this movie, it was just so engaging, funny and irresistible. Can't wait for the DVD. Even Nat was good in it and I usually find her flat (....not in that way, well, yes in that way - just not this time).

As with Donnie Darko it's small market is sure to rule it out come Oscar time where some big budget pretentious epic will reign surpreme, but damn does this movie deserve some kudos.

Great movie. A wonderful, intruiging, and different peice of writing. Belongs in the same category as Lost in Translation, which inevitably means a lot of people just wont 'get it'.

First soundtrack I've bought in a while, too. It's great background music.

I really wanted to catch that in theatres but never got the chance. I'm sorry I missed out.

why did they pull it out of your theatres so fast? I was driving past a local theatre marquee several times a week and it was playing for about 2 months there.

I absolutely loved this movie. I have never before (and i imagine I won't again) felt so "connected" with a movie.

I saw it about a month ago and I thought it was really funny. It was well written and acted. I really liked it.

I never had any interest in it. It looked like a normal love story to me. But, you people have me intrugued. Is it out on DVD yet? I'll rent it.

Why is it named Garden State? Is it just because it takes place in Jersey? Living in Jersey, I'm very critical of any movie that takes place in Jersey, and isn't made by Kevin Smith.

I found that there was a lot more to 'get' in Garden State than in Lost in Translation.

And yes, the soundtrack rocks, and introduced me to a couple new bands that I rather enjoy.

It comes out on DVD December 28. It does in fact take place in New Jersey.

Wrote, directed, produced, starred in, and compiled the soundtrack... And probably more.
