one of my friends went up to NYC last week too.... must be the thing to do during Thanksgiving...

and what was with the 'an' consonant thing? That was freaking me out.

Before the 1300s, that would have been grammatically correct. It was only after 1340 that the n was really completely dropped from in front of consonants.
