Need tutoring in basic Mandarin Chinese
2004-12-02, 11:46 AM #1
So far I've learnt a few words, but i need explanation from someone who knows what they're talking about, in terms of speaking and phonetics

Also, I need help with the actual symbols, and how to write them, and how to create words.

We can use msn 7 + cos it uses a handwriting system so I can write the symbols and send to u.

And hurry, the faster I learn chinese, the faster I can chat up chinese girls, like the girl I work with this weekend!!!

my msn screenname is : hassan_alsafa@hotmail.com

and other emails = aaron.davies7@ntlworld.com
and daviesaj@supanet.com

xiexie!!!

For the spoken Mandarin, I'd really recommend going to a class or something. You can't really get the pronounciation at all from just reading books, and that is really important in Chinese. Seriously, you can just say "meow meow meow meow? meow meow!" and you'll be saying "cutting forest chopping house teapot!".

I can still sorta speak sindarin, however I lost the capabilitie afteer not using it for like...a month.
I would love to learn these languages: Dutch,German,Japanese, and Hungarian.
Im probably going to learn dutch, because I have friends who have dutch fathers, so all I have to do is pick and choose :)

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Maybe you should get some English tutoring before worrying about Chinese. :p

Why Finnish? Isn't English taking over in Finland?

Eh? Not as far as I'm aware, beyond the most colloquial word insertions that can be found in superficial urban vernacular. I'd say that Swedish still has the stronger position in that aspect too.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I'm fluent. It was my first language. Although, I forgot like all the characters except 30 or so because I never write. Though, I'm slowly regaining some because I'm learning jap.

I love you for that. And that your title mentions prions.

I guess there may be worse reasons to learn Mandarin. Can't really think of any right off though. Even not having to subtitle kung fu flicks seems superior come to think of it.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.
