Lizzie : Some blonde tart from London, we were attracted to each other, got on great. She is a friend of my best mate/housemate Sam. So one day she comes to climbing club. We get on very well.

let me point out, the climbing club and its social gatherings (nights out) are the HIGHLIGHT of my university life. Without the club I would have left a long time ago. It his my haven, where I go to get away from all problems, and to be around those people who have proven themselves worthy of my friendship and kindness.

Now the relationship never goes far. being a guy of course, I wait a month for sex, and never get any. WTF? You see this girl Lizzie "pulls" random guys when she's drunk, goes home with guys a lot (But tries to convince me she doesnt sleep with them, yeah right b****!)
We start talking about breaking up, and I hang on for wanting sex. To be honest, I dont even like her that much. Like the other girls i've been with, she's amazingly pretty, but not my type.

So one Tuesday walking back from the pub she starts talking about breaking up. So I blow my fuse and pretty much say "f*** it, lets break up an cut my losses whilst i still have some dignity!".

She wants to be friends, and I go along with this for now. but when I broke up with my other ex's, they stopped talking to me, and I wanted to keep seeing them.

I realise now, heres how you break up:

Stop talking to them, pretend they're dead, if u see them, dont talk to them. if they talk to you, be slighly mean to them.

My situation:

This Lizzie girl is still at the climbing club, and all the socials. She has loads of friends in other clubs, so why does she have to stay with our club??? All I ever hear now is how she goes and pulls guys and yesterday she "goes home with some dirty rugby player".
I have been in the club for over a year now, and now, when i go to get away from my troubles, SHE IS THERE!!! I know I dont have the right to demand she leaves, but I want he too

Be mean to her, after all, I hate that b****s guts, and keep acting mean to her till she gets the picture. I will tell her, face to face, away from everyone else, that I dont want her in the club, and she is ruining what little enjoyment I have in life.

I'm not at the stage of wanting to stab this girl in the face like I was with that chinese cheerleader, but I hate her, and i want her OUT OF MY LIFE for a good deal of time.

If you haven't already been a jerk to her, you could just politely ask her to leave that particular club for the reason you said.

never ever let a woman get the best of you. even if it means telling her flat out to **** off in fromt of every one.
you always have to look out for number one. yourself (guys or girls).

Don't be friends with her. If you happen to be at the same place, don't socialize or talk to her. Hell, ignore her. Hopefully she'll get the idea that you don't want to be friends. Also, don' let what she dos dictate waht you do. Don't give up the climbing clun because she's there.

First of all, get rid of her. She's obviously untrustworthy, and no ammount of sex would make up for that.

Also, don't act mean, either. It gets you nothing, and it only makes you look like an a** to those around you. which is not good if there are other chicks in the group that you are interested in. Just break all contact in a classy way. I used to be told "Lets just be friends", and it doesn't really resolve anything for you, its simply an easy way out for her. I began saying, "No thanks, i already have enough friends" when that was told to me, so it removes all doubt of my intentions. It's the best way I've found to make a clean break.

Meanwhile, I also suggest for you to branch your interests out more. Get involved in other things, so you will have new people to start with.

I probably didnt make it clear in the 1st post, but we broke up 3 weeks ago.

Her reasons were that she didnt have enough time to pursue a relationship what with exams and placement year activities *cough*LOL BULLSH£$*cough*. She said we have to break up soon, and I got tired of her usual crapiness and said "FINE, break up now".

My advice: Get over it. It's not worth it. Don't go yell at her, she's has EVERY right to be in that club. Just because you're uncomfortable with her doesn't mean she should have to change.

This isn't a jab at you or anything, but you seem to get REALLY emotional at the girls who you break up with. If it's possible it's better just to let it go and forget about it.

I think it also depends on your relationship before you were together. One of my exes was and still is one of my best friends. The time we were together was a little blip in an ongoing friendship. My current bf, we were never friends, and when we broke up we tried (after not seeing eachother for a couple of months) but it just didn't work, and in the end we got back together. I know that when/if this relationship ends, we'll never be able to really be friends, because it was always too intense.

Ruth, you need to chill out, seriously. I know you've been screwed over in the past, but you're going into relationships now hating women and just wanting sex.
