Does anyone know how to download files , like a flash file, that is only watchable from the web. You see, I want to download Ninjai, and then convert the flash file to an AVI, then put it on a dvd, for my own personaly uses.

If you could help me get the file, that would be great.

Put the URL of the file into a download manager such as FlashGet or Getright.

Or, if you don't want to do that, you could always make your own html document, put the URL link of the file into that, open the file locally in your browser of choice, and then right click > Save Target As..

[edit]
Actually, to save doing any of that, you could just right click > Save Target As.. on the page where you first found the link on the web... my methods were assuming that you had to find the URL via looking in the source code of the webpage.

See, but flash doesn't let you do that.

Yeah, most of the time the flash is embedded in the document. Your best bet is to get a browser that doesn't support flash (or at least lets you disable flash temporarily), and copy/paste the direct url into the address bar. You may have to view the source of the page to get the actual url of the flash that's embedded.

Whenever i've watched a flash video thingy i've just had to browse through my temporary internet files to find it.

But I had all of Ninjai downloaded a year ago [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

If your using a Gecko-based browser (Mozilla, Firefox, Gaelon, Netscrape, etc), right-click on the page and go to 'View Page Info'. From there, click on 'Media'. Scroll down in the list till you see an item of type 'embedded'. Click on that item, then click on the 'Save as...' button. Save it whereever you want it.

I used to believe that we must fight the future, lest change come without our consent. I was wrong. The truth is that we must embrace the future, for only with change can we remain the same.

That is by far the longest way I have ever heard of!

File > Save Page As.

It will save the page and the .swf flash file.

By saving the page too, it makes it easier to view if you don't have a flash player installed.

Yeah, how's this for odd? My parents haven't been the least bit interested in my love-life my entire life, and now that prom is soon my Dad all of a sudden seems concerned that if I don't find a date and go it will mean I'm a social failure.
I don't get it... I accepted that fact a long time ago, why is he just now realizing it?
