I'm going to give this a try later. What's great I suppose, is that since you can actually write to the USB key, you can install software and save documents. It would seem that there is 50 mb free on a 256mb key after a fresh install.
You can keep the stuff up to date, no need to waste another CD, or download a whole ISO just to be up to date, because you can just use portage to update your stuff.
Hardware detection is done using Knoppix's 'autoconfig.'
