Ok well I wasn't sure if this was fitted for the music forum or not but no one is responding there.. hoping for more luck here:

The other day I was at OC remixes and I downloaded an .rsn file, but be dammned if I can get it to play! I have winamp and the site said I could use winamp to play it... I don't think I have any plug-ins to support it though..
Does anyone know where I could find them?

Are you sure it isnt 'RNS'? RNS appears to be the file format that Reason uses to store mixes in...

*double checks* no, I'm right it's an .rsn file... i've never seen it before but apparently winamp can run it with the right plug-in.. can't find one though

Well, it might not be what you're looking for, but searching for .rsn files in google found a guy who said that these were the steps for using it:

3) Change the .rsn file's name that you downloaded in step one from a .rsn file to a .rar file.

4) Install WinRar and open the program. Click open .rar file and browse for the final fantasy.rar file and select that. it should bring up a bunch of .spc files like in this picture: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/Polygon-finalfantasy5.jpg

5) go to http://www.terraearth.com/downloads/snesamp.exe and download the application. then install it. It is an application for WinAmp (if you dont have winamp, go download it here: http://www.terraearth.com/downloads/winamp281_full.exe

6) FINAL STEP: if you have done everything right, you should be able to open winamp, and click play and click on the .spc files and play them.</font>

P.S. Step one was jsut to download some .rsn music files, so where it refers to that jsut put in your file.

RSN files are just rar files. the SPC files are meant to be played with a player called Meridian.

Of course, if you had looked closely, right under the link for the .rsn file on OC remix was instructions on how to play the file [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

.spc's can also be played in Winamp, just need a plugin, I think it's over at Zophar's.
