I was just reading over the recently closed revived thread of banning, and this thought came into my mind after DS said there are only 12 banned IP addresses after Brian granted his reprieve. Does this mean that DC is unbanned and just hasn't come back to cause trouble... Or what about Overglow? *remembers the days*

What on earth did those people do to get such long bans? It's very easy to get banned for a day or two around here, but what did they do to get such long bans?

If it's very easy to get banned for a day or two, multiply that by multiples of 365.

You can ban Usernames or IP addresses. Not everyone has a static ip, so its generally better to ban the username.

btw. checksum and nuaree are not going to leave the top two spots of the two most annoying members ever. (unless the religous forum comes back then someone will come that is also uber-intolerant of other views.

as for pugler, I never experienced him and he was not really annoying as he was always being baned anyway so we just had him in bursts.
