Wow that's the stupidest thing ever, what's the movie going to be about then? I mean... wow...

I couldn't put these books down, and now they're getting raped as per usual.

I'm so annoyed, they were doing a theatrical version of it in London last year, but by the time I found out it was completely booked. I really wanted to know how they'd get around the daemon issue...

This is all because some people are unable to see the line between reality and entertainment. All I want for Christmas is the destruction of the human race.

That is just sickening. The whole point of the movie is about overthrowing the most totalitarian regime of all time. Pullman even uses the copout that the "God" that is killed isn't even the one who created everything. I see no reason not to keep the God-Angel in it... And for crying out loud, how are you suppossed to portray the church guy as anything but religious who hunts the two children in Amber Spyglass. The whole Adam and Eve reference at the end is sort of nullified without any religious significance... Arghh. This is so stupid!

So I take it that the books are worth reading? I don't believe I've ever heard of them before.

The changes will more than likely cut intothe profit margin. Ironic.

Apparently the author is satisfied with it, which is pretty sickening, seeing as I thought he actually had a message in this work, and if he's happy to have the epitome of the message removed, well... I guess they're just not what I thought they were.

(Definitely worth reading, yes.)
