Calling it a spoiler is like saying, "Pictures of Frodo at Mount Doom - spoilers inside!" is a spoiler. Everyone who's been following the movies to some small, minute degree will know about that much.

As for the pictures, very coolio. I like the allusion to the RotJ scene. The first picture bothers me though, because Dooku looks like he's about to topple forward.

Yes, it parallels nicely with ROTJ. It probably even ends with the same choice that Luke had.

actually, i think it's the stunt guy they had for Episode 2
they used a rubber mask to hide the non-lee-ness

erm, they use lee for standing and holding the lightsaber(and some of the blocking that takes a while to get out of where there isnt a lot of action) and all he is doing is standing there... im pretty sure thats lee, and it does look like him

think about it. anakin(vader) would have an advantage in episode 6 if he had already done the same thing, and the emporer prolly knew this, too... so why not set it up the exact same way? i mean obviously anakin knows how to win in this set-up... or he wouldnt be in 4, 5 and 6.

or the prequels parallel the old ones a lot and they're being consistent.

The up shot where Dooku wasn't moving around too much were Lee. When he got into footwork scenes and such, they had to use the double.

I could be Lee's double, but it could also be one of those practical effects decapitation doubles like used in Sleepy Holly; adding a CGI head of Dooku in pain for more realism. Speculation is fun.

I'm slightly peeved, but Lucas said they're meant to be that way, like stanzas in a poem, rhyming ever so slightly but also containing an originality of their own.

You know another allusion to Luke not being like Anakin is when Luke rebuilds his saber for RotJ and it looks nearly identical to Obi Wan's saber, instead of looking like his fathers. He chose to follow the path of Obi Wan instead of the path of Anakin.

Yeah actually I am... The OT was good because of the more original plot. It's a really weak point when you have to rip off your own movies instead of writing it from scratch.

Yeah I know that with the whole force thing there could be "echoes" in time when one thing happens just like it did before, but come on. He's writing the story around already proven plot points instead of writing them WITH the story.

But I digress.

I want to know what's up with Palpatine, in the trailers the dude in the black cloak with the red lightsaber looked like the Emperor from ROTJ crossed with Congo gorillas. He looks almost as young as he did in TPM in that picture though. Unless Sidious and Palpatine are truly different...

Supposedly, from Spy Reports: During his intense encounter with Mace Winder (and later with Yoda), Palpatine shows the Jedi the TRUE nature of the force so much that it destroys his appearance. Palpatine had never had to use the force in defense, it was confined to keeping his appearance young. Once Mace and Yoda make Palpatine use his full power, he is severely drained and cannot retain his youthful appearance. And thus, looks like Joan Rivers.

Yeah, that's because of the digital film format, the same rotoscoping techniques they used on TPM wouldn't work on the digital film. The same "blobbing" effect can be seen in AOTC. The colors don't fade out, they're just solid.

I had originally heard he cut off the arms. But hey, hands, arms, no big difference. I think its quite cool though (and gonna make the PG rating difficult).

Not really. There isn't even blood. Episodes 2, 4, 5, and 6 all had a scene where body parts were severed.
