I'm trying to play a dvd on my computer, and it works fine offline, but if im on the internet the dvds sound goes funny, then the internet dies. Im on dialup, and using windows media player. Any idea of what could be going on?

Try VideoLan Center (if you have any sort of google toolbar, type vlc into your address bar and hit enter) and see if it gives you this problem.

Are you using a Winmodem? And do you have a slow computer? The DVD playback could be chewing up your CPU too much, and causing the disconnections. If that were the case, you could try bringing the quality down in your DVD software to save some CPU usage, or you could buy a modem with a hardware controller on it.
