well a friend of mine is out of town for the rest of the month so he dropped his copy off for me to enjoy

i suggest if you don't already have the xbox version get this one unless your computer sucks

I've played through most of the X-Box version, and it's great. I really like the way the hand-to-hand combat is done.

I too played the Xbox version, but I got stuck and never got around to completing it. Still though, it's an excellent game and I definitely recommend it.

Graphics look very similiar to Doom 3.

Amazing graphics, so how does the hand to hand combat system work?

right mouse blocks
left mouse attacks
movement keys are used to control the type of attack...

melee weapons include
bare fists (can be 'upgraded' with knuckleduster)
shiv (also scalpels and screwdrivers can take this slot)
club (slowest of the melee weapons does the most damage...also does damage to enemies who are blocking)

Almost EXACTLY the same, right down to plasticy textures and razor-sharp shadows.

the only thing is soft shadows only work on GF6*00 cards and even then it's really slow so they have to use the ps2.0 mode to play the game

soft shadows will be more for the next generation of cards to be completely playable

does it run on radeon 9xxx cards?

Granted, if it does, i'll probably have to turn shadows off, just like I did for doom3.

I've heard that this game is great, even though the movie sucked.

i don't think there is an option to turn shadows off... they factor too heavily into the gameplay nd it runs a little better than doom3 for me

Very nice, but Vin Diesel looks dead in all the screenshots. It's creepy.
