Kill Bill Vol. 1

I finally got around to seeing it. The violence wasn't too bad in my opinion since it was cartoony. As for the actual movie, it's pretty good as an action flick although you have to appreciate anime. The movie, in my opinion, is a live action anime (even a section of the movie is animated). Kind of funny at times too. That guy at the restaurant really did look like Charlie Brown. I might go see Vol. 2 in theaters....providing that people say it is good.

Edit: I noticed a black guy in a trailer swinging a sword in a very cool fashion. What role does he play in Vol. 2? I have heard nothing about him from reading the reviews.

The only black guy in Volume 2 is Samuel L. Jackson as the organ player. What scene are you referring to?

I saw it today for the first time too. The gore was not bad at all. It's just like watching red water come out of a high pressure hose.

KB2 was just as good if not better then 1. A bit more talk, and less action, but it's well needed.

Also KB2 has more gore then KB1.

SPOILER...KIND OF:

Gah, the eye! That was just gross.

The fight you're thinking of *was* between Bill and Micheal Jai White of Spawn fame. The fight was cut because vol.2 was too long. Sad Sad Sad

Which is odd, because many large sites have his name in the credits...

I heard that the only reason they had animated sequences was because, had they been live-action, the movie would have been rated NC-17, which is no good for those who seek financial profit.

that sequence was cool.
But I see what you mean, it was way to violent for a live action shot.

If The Passion wasn't NC17, no chance in hell Kill Bill would have been NC17. That anime scene was cool as **** though [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The Passion probably gotten away with its rating because it's a religious flick. So they cut out a fight scene? That's too bad, the trailer scene where he swing that Chinese sword around was very cool.
