Yup, saw it a couple days ago.

Cool stuff. He's like a ninja!

No rediculous stuff like the normal Batman, this looks like it will be the only good movie since Tim Burton.

I am so glad. It feels like pretty recently that I was thinking the rise of batman would make a much cooler story than all the of the stuff that are in the other movies.

I cannot wait.

It looks more like the first two Batman movies in terms of style, and that's a good thing.

That's a relief. The first two were the only good ones. Too bad they didn't seem to realize that when they made the 3rd and 4th one.
The cake is a lie... THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!!!

Good, it looks dark. Not only that, but we know already know that Batman will be a badass because Christian Bale (watch "Equilibrium" if you think otherwise) is the cape crusader himself.

well that looks rather awesome.

awesome! i love it when the movies reflect the mood of the actual comics rather than what the producers want kids to see.

Once you see the batmobile you'll think otherwise... Batman is my absolute most favourite superhero of all time, and they're full-out raping part of his very being... his car.

At least it looks like he won't fight like a sissy in this movie. Trailer looks good. Has my hopes up.
Life is beautiful.

From what I've heard about the birth of the Bat Signal, I am VERY looking forward to this movie.

We've seen it, and I've seen it in action. It's a bad *** car. You can find clips of it online (including the scene where he first sees it himself at his company) and people were cheering at comic conventions when it was played.

I must admit, I have only seen still frames, so it could be more badass than I thought, but still... <3 the old design. The new one is like some kind of crazy monster truck SUV thing

Gimme a few minutes and let me see if I can find the video online that some guys took in Chicago. Apparently they were filming and someone on the sidewalk had a camera.

Just click the link on the site for the Quicktime video. I chose to have you go to the site that way I don't do direct feeds to the video and waste there bandwidth.

Oh, and since when is Batman a ninja? Not that I'm complaining...
2004-12-14, 8:21 PM #17
Its Christian Bale, I think we can count on him to be a great batman... but the new batmobile frightens me. Do we know anything about any villains so far?

Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul.

Ken Wantanabe (the dude from The Last Samurai) is Ra's Al Ghul, which I am looking forward to.

I remember the name Ra's Al Ghul, but not the character... what was his deal? (Probably should put it in spoiler tags)
2004-12-14, 8:32 PM #20
Ra's Al Ghul is an immortal mortal. The man can die like anyone else, but he has discovered these things called Lazarus Pits, and each time he starts to die, he enters the pit and gets a full life back. He is very intelligent, rivaling that of Batman or Lex Luthor (meaning he is a ****ing genius). http://images.google.com/images?q=Ra%27s+Al+Ghul&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search

Ooooh I remember now. That guy was slightly badass, but penguin has always been one of my favourites.
2004-12-14, 8:40 PM #23
Well, apparently the Scarecrow's in it as well... the guy who's playing him looks more like a pretty boy than an evil and sadistic villain (Scarecrow, imo, was one of, if not the, scariest Batman badguy). I hope this guy pulls it off (who knows what a bit of makeup can do).

Scarecrow wore a mask though. The guy casted was originally trying out for the role of Batman himself, and the director liked him and had him cast as the villian in the end.

Sweet!

The trailer looks VERY promising. Batmobile looks now more function than style. I have no complaints.
