The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe

Now that the movie is less than a year away, theres been a few new updates that I think are pretty cool.

Concept artwork:

Also, theres now a web preview of sorts that shows the pre-production work being done on the movie. Richard Taylor provides the narration for the preview, and it is very reminiscent of the web previews we saw for Lord of the Rings a few years ago.

I personally cannot wait for this movie. I love the Narnia books, to me they are second only to Lord of the Rings, and just barely. I am very glad that it is looking like this movie will be very good.

I remember having my teacher read us some of the Narnia books in 6th grade. I was entranced so much that i read them all myself after we were done with them in school.

Some of the best fantasy books ever written.

Wow. I cannot wait to see this. I read the books such a long time ago, but I absolutely loved them.

...you guys know the lion dies, the wardrobe is burned, and the witch takes over, right?

jk

in all seriousness, I read...I think the first book, and watched cartoons for alot of the others when I was a little kid. I loved them. I have memories of a semi-sick lion trying to go into battle? I think?

And I remember something about snow.

...and a...witch.
And a sled?

And from the first book, something about the witch saying "your star is not red, it's still young!"

... yeah it was a long time ago.

i can't wait. I have the 4 videos (they only did up to silver chair) and they all kick ***. The first one being the best though. I also have the books but only read up to 3/4 the way through 'the horse and his boy' (was that the name of it?) I wonder if they'll do the entire series, as a movie for each book, or have it all in one, or what...

Wait... is it just The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe or are they doing the whole series?

If it's the whole series, shouldn't they start with... The Magician's Nephew? Is that what it's called?
2004-12-15, 11:44 AM #9
Oh, I guess they're starting with TL****W.

After seeing the trailer though, I am pretty excited. If Weta's designing it, at least it will look sweet.

WTF... I can't abbreviate the title because the word t-w-a-t is bannned. ****

They are making 5 of the books into movies... they are no plans to make either The Magicians Nephew or The Horse and His Boy.

Ohhh, He-111's bombing Narnia! Alright! :D
2004-12-15, 3:06 PM #21
Awww, but The Horse and his Boy was my favourite...

Ah well, at least they're doing The Silver Chair , which is my second preference :)
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.
