Saw it this afternoon. Not many people for opening day. Anyway, KB2 has alot more talking in it then KB1, I mean alot. The first hour is a bit slow, not much fighting at all. But the last half is mostly fighting and sword play and kablam, boom, splat-age. The first half is entertaining even though it doesn't have alot of action in it. It's still stylish, and it answers alot of stuff that you proably wondered after seeing KB1.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 - 5/5 stars


I don't really think of KB2 as a seperate movie..because it really isn't. It's just the rest of 1 :/. So I should really be saying...

Yeah, how's this for odd? My parents haven't been the least bit interested in my love-life my entire life, and now that prom is soon my Dad all of a sudden seems concerned that if I don't find a date and go it will mean I'm a social failure.
I don't get it... I accepted that fact a long time ago, why is he just now realizing it?

The Bride continues watching in gobsmackery.

Bill raises his head off the floor, and says to her in his
normal voice;

BILL
Mommy, you're dead - so die.

The Bride shakes off her confusion, and acts out a big death
scene fo her little girl.

THE BRIDE
Oh, B.B., you got me. I should have
known, you are the best.

She falls to the floor and pretends to die.

The little girl in her party dress, runs over to the big girl
in her wedding dress, and kneels over her mommy.

Mommy opens her eyes.

B.B.
Don't die Mommy, I was just
playing.

From the floor, looking up at her daughter, she speaks to her
for the first time.

MOMMY
I know baby.

They embrace each other.

B.B.
I waited a long time for you to
wake up, Mommy. Did you dream of me
- I dreamed of you?

The female killer says to her daughter as mommieness begins
to creep into her voice;

THE BRIDE
Every single night, baby.

She holds her daughter out at arm's length to get a better
look at her.

THE BRIDE
Now let me look at you. My my my...
What a pretty girl you are.

B.B.
You're pretty too, Mommy.

B.B. starts stroking her mother's long blonde hair.

THE BRIDE
Thank you.

All of a sudden, Bill has joined them on the floor.

BILL
When I showed you Mommy's picture,
tell Mommy what you said.

The little girl gets shy.

BILL
C'mon shy girl, you know what you
said, tell Mommy, it'll make her
fell good.

As she strokes her long blonde hair, little B.B. says;

B.B.
I said - I said - You're the most
beautiful woman I ever saw in the
whole white world.

After that, it seems that "The Bride" and Bill are getting along fine, and that she suddenly doesn't want to Kill Bill but just lead a normal life with her daughter.

Then then music starts to play and the lyrics are like "You can't take back what you've done blah blah, it's to late now" Then you start to think, oh man maybe she really will kill him now.

It goes back and forth throughout the last chapter of the film. You think she won't then she will, then she wont..

Here's a question: Do the films get any more intelligent, or is it basically just raining blood though the whole 4+ hours? I'm in the process of watching volume one (currently at the part where she takes the yellow motorcycle to the bar) and it's been geysers of blood nonstop - I knew Kill Bill was going to be violent (it's Tarantino), but I was also expecting it to be clever and funny.

More on how it goes back and forth at the end of the last chapter. Will she kill Bill, or not?!


I mean she meets her daughter, and Bill acts all nice, she isn't killing him.

Then the music plays, she will kill him.

Then she smiles and sits with her daughter, while Bill makes her a sandwich, they all seem happy, she won't kill him.

Then the daughter starts talking about death and Bill hints at thing. she will kill him.

"The Bride" and the daughter say goodnight to Bill and decide to watch a movie together. Bill and "The Bride" are getting along fine. She won't kill him.

Then the daughter falls asleep, and Bill shoots "The Bride" with the dart gun, and says "Move and I'll pop one in your knee cap" "Naw, just f**** with ya". Bill makes her cry alot. She will kill him

They go outside at the table, they talk about how they fell, how she found out she was pregnant, Bill lets out his feelings. She won't kill him.

Bill and Her fight with the swords for a few seconds. She gives him the deadly 5 finger palm move. Bill dies. She killed him. BUT she felt so horrible afterwards, but also relived and happy. I thought it was brilliant, how then he took those 5 steps...

If it were me, i wouldn't of walked, I would have said screw this gimme a wheel chair haha.

Tracer, Vol. 2 is quite a bit more quirky in the Tarantino way, unlike most of Vol. 1.

I loved it. I'm hoping he does Vol. 3...

[Edit - Also loved the preview for "Hero."]

Why the hell would he make Vol. 3!? That's like makeing a 4th matrix film...The story was told. KB1 and 2 were made at the same time. story.told.

Didn't they imply she got bitten by the snake.. Okay, she is in a house..with no eye balls.....smashing against a mirror and what not, then Beatruix(sp?) walks out, and it zooms in on the snake. That snak is going to slither it's way to her and bite her to death. Plus it's called Kill Bill....Bill is freaking dead! Kill Bill Vol. 3 : Attack of Bill Clones!!!!! Seriously, he ISN'T going to make Vol. 3 . No way in hell he could. He made 1 and 2 as one film, just released them at seperate times...because a single Kill Bill film would have been to long.

Vernita Green's daughter!?!? She is 4 years old!!!! Beatruix will be like 50 or 60 by the time she grows up. KB2 ended with She stopped professional killing, she KILLED BILL, she wants to live a happy life with her daughter.

Tarentino has already commented on making a Kill Bill 3 in the past week or so. He said he already has the cast planned out, the plot line finished. It's just that he says he wants to take a break away ....

""Oh yeah, initially I was thinking this would be my 'Dollars' trilogy. I was going to do a new one every 10 years. But I need at least 15 years before I do this again," he tells Entertainment Weekly.

I thought it was common knowlege that he is making an animated prequel to it. But i always thought that that little daughter was going to have revenge just like the bride did. SAJN, don't just reject an idea that someone has so quickly. I mean especially beause it's tarantino. it's not going to suck, he just doesnt do things like that.

I mean, you'd think the big ****ing "?" over Elle's name after all the others were crossed out would give it away. If anything, there's plenty of room for her to be alive and very, very angry.

And the name Kill Bill would change. Someone said that he took 6 steps then colapsed. I counted 5 and an attempted 6th..but I'm pretty sure Bill is dead.

Plus I mean, KB2 came out right after KB1. It would be weird haveing a sequal after all this time. like Terminator 3, or the StarWars movies.. Indiana Jones 4. Also the worry or waiting and OMG WILL IT SUCK!>?!?!

A volume 3 would be awful. The story has concluded. You wouldn't believe how often Tarantino throws out movie ideas to interviewers, most of them fake. I however, am looking forward to the anime prequel which I hear is about the legend of Pai Mei.

Is it rated so that 15-year-olds can see it (SAJN is 15)? I don't really understand American ratings.

I'm not asking because I want to see it, seeing as how I'm 20 next month.

We got in with a parent with us saying it was okay when we bought the ticket, which is still pretty strict. It used to be a phone call could get you in, but now it has to be in person.

I'd like to state that SAJN needs to get out more, and purely from his posts in this thread I don't like him, after having no problems before, but I won't get into insults. Anyways, I heard on the news this morning that a third movie is being planned, but that he doesn't plan to begin production for 15 years! I was thinking that it will probably involve: The little black girl, BB, and Elle.

So I guess Tarantino doesn't have your respect anymore SAJN, I'm sure he's going to go home and cry.

So...you think someone lacking eyes is just going to roll over and give up? Because we all know, blind people are incapable of doing anything (I think "Blind Fury" has shown that a movie can be based on a blind person with a sword (she still has the Hattori Hanzo from Sidewinder))...

(Also to lesser extents "Daredevil" and "The Sandlot")

TimeWolfOfThePast, the story hasn't concluded. There are plenty of possibilities for a third. And there are still things that could be explained. Copperhead's daughter might still want revenge, Elle might kidnap B.B., was that Bill who killed O-ren's father, etc etc.
