Ok, here's the line up.

I just got off work about 45 minutes ago, at 2:15 AM. I came in at 3:00 PM so it was a long shift. In about 5 hours I'm gonna be at my Mom's work, because I agreed to help pack some computers (also getting paid) which should take about 5 hours. Then, I'm supposed to be back at work for some crap shift from 7:00 PM till probably 2:00 AM again, as well as be expected to then come back in at 8:00 AM that same morning.

So here's how it's gonna be. I'm not going to go to sleep right now. Gonna stay up all night (or what's left if it, for about 3 hours), and do that job at my Mom's work. I'm gonna run by my work and pick up some Christmas presents that will be on hold, and inform my supervisor that I will not be coming in that evening for the numerous reasons stated above, then I will promptly head home and begin a long, 12+ hour sleep.

So, in short, I've never been that great at staying up for long periods of time, so send out those Massassi vibes, preferably in 30 minute intervals at high frequencies to wake me up. ;)

Also post any similar crappy work scheduling that you've ever been given.

Fry's Electronics, IIRC.

You guys sell enough electronics that you're restocking until 2 in the morning? This place is bigger than I thought (never been in one).

Good luck. :)

[edit]Crappy work scheduling? For two summers, I worked two jobs, working from 8am - 4pm, then from 5pm - 11:30pm. Then 7am-4pm both days of the weekend. 90 hour weeks for the whole summer can be tiresome.

Last summer I worked in an aluminum plant, switching day and night shifts constantly. It made it hard to see my friends, but the pay was worth it.

I just work my *** off on the weekends in the spring. IT's worth the $500-$600 I can make in two and a hlaf days.

Well, from last Thursday to Monday (5 days) I managed to pick up 6 shifts, and still manage to go to school and church. I made like $200 in tips this weekend, and I'm just a busboy.
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

Well, this is more of a Christmas season only thing. Under normal conditions and seasons, we rarely ever stay past midnight. It's just later during Christmas because we are open an hour later than usual, and we get a lot more freight.

As for me, I just woke up from my 12 hour sleep about 45 minutes ago. I came home at noon earlier in the day, and finally wasn't feeling that tired any more--to my disapointment-- but once I got in bed I must've fallin asleep in literally 3 minutes. :D

I did wake up around 7-ish to eat, but went back to bed 30 minutes later. Amazingly, I'm still tired, but I guess I would be after 12 hours of sleeping. It should be pretty easy to get back on the regular schedule, just got to stay awake till about 9:00 tonight.

I haven't worked in over a week, and my shift tomorrow is a mere 4 hours, then I'm working 6 hours on Christmas Eve. Woot.
