JK Dedicated Server

I've got an extra machine sitting over here, and I'm on 1500/256 DSL, so I'm going to set up a dedicated server for JK. It looks like it's going to have to be either CTF or JK Arena though because of JK's lack of dedicated server ability. The address will be mahee.no-ip.com and I should have it up by the end of the day. Any suggestions?

I haven't thought of a way to ban IP addresses of people who cause problems, so if there is a program out there anyone knows of to block an IP address or IP range from connecting to the server I could use that in combonation with netstat. Also I'll be avalible most of the time on IM so people can let me know if someone needs to be kicked from the game.

My IP is dynamic, so even though it only changes every 2 weeks or so it would be a pain to have to post it every time. And my AIM S/N is CatHerder454 and my MSN name is ryan at sporkaudio dot com.

Also if I can get another machine up I will run a MotS server too. The problem lies in the fact that it would need another monitor, something I don't have a lot of. Someone with MotS contact me.

I think redirects don't work as far as JK goes. I'd check into that before you start it up.

And from experience:

JK dedicated servers are a PAIN IN THE ARSE. They require constant attention, and over very long periods of time the server can get laggy or unstable. Also, I dunno if your connection will be fast enough. 256 isn't much, especially if you split it out through your network. It's that upload speed that'll kill you.

I have entirely too much free time, so I figured I'd put it into something productive. Or anti-productive, depends on how you look at it. Anyway I don't see any reason why that redirection wouldn't work, but I still have to set up the port forwarding and grab some people to test it before I will know.

Meh, ever since I switched to DSL with PPPoE, I haven't been able to connect to any JK games or people connect to mine. Don't know what the deal is.

Keeps crashing, running it on a fresh install of Win2k, only has JK and the Nvidia drivers...

Any suggestions?
