Well howdy. I'm just wondering what you guys have all got for your cameras. I'm thinking about getting my shiny "Fuji Finepix S7000" a new lens and fliter kit, but are the filters/lens worth it? A tripod was also a suggested matter, any views? Post what you guys have.

Tripods are good, much easier to get a non shaky image.
Filters provide good protection for the lens, cheaper to replace a scratched filter than a scratched lens I think.

I just got a Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR a couple of weeks ago. I've got a decent tripod, helps when your doing zoom work. I've been told to expect Santa to bring some new lens filters for me, so that will be cool.:)

Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR? Isn't that meant to be the god of cameras?

Well,... I think the Canon 10D is probably better, but it's also worth at least 4 times the price.

I'm having fun learning how to use the 300D.

These are my best images so far (keep in mind I've only had the camera for two weeks, and we've had lousy weather)Tims Album

The flower image was one I took the day after the camera arrived.
The Tower with pink lights was taken the same night at around 10pm, so was a test of the manual settings and my 90-300mm zoom lens.
The other two were shot last Saturday, just before a shower of heavy rain.
