Christmas Traditions...?

what xmas traditions do you and your family have?

my family has always had sausage balls (biscuit, sausage and cheese... mmm) and cinnamon rolls for breakfast as we open presents

we also have a system for opening them... the youngest will open a present then the next one up in age and so on... when we get to the oldest (grandad ;)) we start back at the youngest.
that way we see someone open what we gave them etc

we try to get christmas crackers when we can but they're hard to find in the States... =/

for the last... 8 years or so we've done a thing where we each open just one present on xmas eve... but last year and this year we aren't/haven't.

so, what do you do?? ;)

Every year we eat some sweet rice-stuff in which my mother has hidden a single almond. Whoever finds the almond get's a present (usually a huge box of chocolate).
Sorry for the lousy German

Turkey. It's just too damn good not to eat it.

My dad's side of the family always has a Christmas Eve celebration. I dont know if it's a European thing or what, it's just always been that way.

My family's Polish, so we always make a large Christmas Eve (Vigil) dinner. Much much good food.
