Post your favorite Morrowind Plugins and where to find them. I'm trying to decide which ones are good, and whether or not I should install them on the new machine I'm getting.

I don't remember because I justuninstalled it, but I always go for the ones that balance the game more or make it more difficult. I usually ended up as a mage/assassin hybrid, so it was too easy for me to steal anything I wanted. I remember having some that made it harder to pick locks, locked all the doors after a certain hour, and stuff like that. I never went with any major mods.

I had a shield with Open level 100 on it, never needed any damn lockpicks. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Another thing I did during the game (not a mod) was to play without using enchantments or alchemy. Those were also way unbalanced. A few hours into the game and you can get a level 100 open lock spell. Cheap. It takes at least a couple extra to work up your security that high heh. And alchemy was lame because you could stack a million potions at once.

As soon as I can find v3.38, there's McConville's Mog*Mod. It's fun to play as a four-foot furry thing with a buster sword.

Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Morrowind. Must. Go. Make. Myself. Telvanni. Hortator.

Yeah, how's this for odd? My parents haven't been the least bit interested in my love-life my entire life, and now that prom is soon my Dad all of a sudden seems concerned that if I don't find a date and go it will mean I'm a social failure.
I don't get it... I accepted that fact a long time ago, why is he just now realizing it?

Morrowind Summit has most of the better mods out there.

First get yourself some sort of beautification mod... no offense to Bethesda, but while the rest of the game is great, the face and body models are horrendous. I use Better Faces but you could also use the Astarsis series of face replacers or anything similar.

There are various tweak mods but most of that you could do yourself with only a little practice in the construction kit so I'll list some that actually add new things...

Marksman Mod. The name is simple but the mod changes the way the marksman skill works and adds literally dozens of new weapons throughout the game. It also adds the ability to fletch your own arrows and bolts.

Assassin's Armory. As close as you'll get to a melee equivalent of the Marksman Mod. It adds tons of new weapons throughout the game and allows you to block with another weapon instead of a shield [basically still a shield that looks like a weapon but it's a nice idea].

Lilarcor +3. The talking sword from [forget which game] now comes to Morrowind. You get it at Arrilke's at the start of the game and it grows alongside you, becoming increasingly powerful the more it kills. There are options in the most recent release to make it shut up if you get irritated by it. Probably the most thought out weapon ever made for Morrowind.

Morrowind Comes Alive! This generates random NPCs all over Vvardenfell, but they make sense. For example, you're likely to find random warriors in the fighters' guild, fences in the thieves' guilds and pilgrims by shrines. I never play without this one, basically I no longer know every single NPC in the game.

Private Mobile Base. This is perfect if you have tons of gold to spare and haven't been able to decide on where you want your house/castle/etc. It's a giant flying dwarven construct that can be moved to different cities. Bring your base with you.

Vampire Embrace. This mod not only allows your vampire to talk to NPCs [and thus complete quests] but to actually make fledgelings of them. You can command your fledgelings to do your bidding and create an army of undead to defend your base or destroy your enemies.

The following mods crash my game but could be ok if you have a better computer:

Complete Morrowind 1-4. These mods allow you to make pottery, clothes, cut down trees, cook food and other domestic roleplay enhancements.

Morrowind Enhanced. This puts combat combos in the game that let you do moves in sequence that results in the enemy losing an arm, weapon, head, etc. Very fun but generally crashes me to the desktop after 15 minutes or so.

Naturally there are a lot more. I could list a slew of tweak mods I use but those are more of a personal preference. I never play without NoGlo [self explanatory] or a patch to increase vendor money but some players say they unbalance the game.

Anyway, have fun.

CliffEraser = PWN. Cliff Racers can burn in hell.. worst creature implemented into a game. Ever.

I also use that one that adds a Fletcher shop to that one City, it starts with a V and has like those 8 cityes connected by bridges with water and stuff, I can't remember the name..

Vivec. That's the area effect arrows mod by Bethesda. All the official mods are good, I use all of them.

Oh and a note on the Marksman Mod if you don't like racers... it gives them destruction spells and they never seem to run out of mana. I changed it myself in the construction set to go back to normal, but just a warning.

There's a neutral Cliff Racers mod that just makes them non-aggressive. I prefer that one since you can still get feathers from them in order to grind them into a potion if you need them. Besides, it's nice to see something in the air except for the occasional bull and betty netch.

Look up Rhedd's heads. A guy who worked on UT2004 makes these skins and head models that have less polygons but tend to look a good bit better, at least for the human races. Personally I think some of his Bosmer and Dunmer skins don't look ugly enough.
