haha...yes I'm currently watching Spiderman 2

Anywho, so here's my post. Which movie do you like better? Spiderman, or Spiderman 2.

I think both are great, but I prefer two, for the mere fact that I can relate about the stresses of school etc, but I love how human Peter is portrayed balancing all his stressors, and of course i'm a sucker for the Mary-Jane/Peter Parker love story. Especially when she tells him to kiss her, because she knows that if they kiss she'll be able to tell his real feelings for her. Great movie.

Anywho, what's your fav. of the two movies, and why?

I dunno. Mary Jane came off as a manipulative ***** for me. She reminds so much of this one girl I know. I guess I liked 2 better, because Doctor Octupus had a good dieing scene. And Peter's juggling act was great. The picture-taking session at the ball was great with Peter getting slapped twice, once physical and the other emotional.

It's kinda hard for me to like either one better. I like the first one because it told the story really well without much unneeded parts. Spider-Man 2 however, even though I loved the Doc Ock stuff over the Goblin stuff, it felt more gratuitous. I mean I know they needed a ton of special effects, but some story elements and CGI seemed to be there when it didn't need to be.

I really wish they hadn't of made the Mary Jane/Peter story as soap operaish, they could've saved alot of it for the third one. I understand they probably didn't want to repeat the first one with a sad ending, but...

Alfred Molina was cool though, I mean Defoe was awesome in the first one, but Molina did a really sweet job on the interacting he had to do with the tentacles.

I liked the relationship between them. They both go back and forth. his saying he wants to be there for her, and then yet he isnt. and she gives him various chances (of course not knowing he is spiderman) and when he falls through, she gets tired, thinking he's playing games and tries to move on. Of course in the end, it's impossible for her because she truely loves Peter, but is afraid to commit to him fully because of the way he falls through on the things he says. Either way I agree it is rather Soap Operaish, but I liked that dynamic. Adds more emotion to the film, and I think it goes good with the action. It makes you care for Spiderman more, when you see all that he's going through. Anywho good action film, and in my opinon played well by Kirsten and Tobey.

The physics in the movie made me cry.

HAY GUYS LETS DROWN THIS NUCLEAR HELLSTORM IN WATER GUYS.

#2, if only for the CGI.

But the physics did suck.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Spider-Man was a horrible horrible movie. Spider-Man 2 on the other hand was awesome!
Think while it's still legal.

Heh, I agree about the physics... even though no action movie to date has figured out conservation of momentum, there were lots of glaring errors in the fusion stuff.

1. Fusion doesn't create magnetism. So it wouldn't be pulling metal in towards it.
2. YOU CAN'T FUSE IRON. This is the one that really ticked me off.
3. Who in their right mind would try to run a fusion reactor without it being in a vacuum chamber?
4. Deuterium is not a metal, and it is not a solid.
5. Fusion generates temperatures of millions of degrees kelvin. 'nuff said. Not to mention having people standing so close to it, it should have produced maybe a little bit of steam when it hit the water.

However, I still prefer 2 over 1.

I liked both of them, but I enjoyed Spider-man 2 more. So BoricuaDelight....in general when it comes to women and poems. Who is right, MJ or Dr. Octavius?

Wasn't it Trinium that Doc Oc was using? or is my hearing really that bad?

Mighta been tritium, it's been a while since I've seen it. In any case, tritium isn't a metal either.

To be fair:

1. a spider bite does not typically give you super powers

I liked spiderman2 the most cause Peter felt more human. It gave the sense of everyone doesn't appreciate spiderman and thinks he's an arrogaunt jackass playing superhero, but in reality his a selfless hero who doesn't need to do any of this stuff. In fact he sacrifices alot of his own life just to try to do the right thing for people and he doesn't even get a thank you and gets yelled at by everyone (teachers, girlfriends, friends, his aunt.... i mean jesus why this guy isn't a villian blows my mind).

I've never had any compulsion to watch men in red, tight-fitting clothing.

Really, the movie doesn't interest me. At all. It still seems like a horrible "let's make some money out of something that may have once been cool".
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

No, they definitely pronounced it "tri-ni-um"
Maybe they borrowed some from the Stargate universe?

No, they pronounce it tritium. Subtitles=win. Tritium is also a real substance.

And Stargate doesn't have any trinium, though it does have naquadah.

I beg to differ... the Iris on the gate is or was made from Trinium at one time or another
