So who has forked up the $7 to see this God awful movie? I saw it earlier today and I wanted to cry. It was horrible. I mean worst than Daredevil and The Hulk. This movie has taken comic movies back big time. The beginning and ending was cool and all, cause it's how it should be. But it was what happened in between it, how, he just walks up to the FBI and pretty much says he is going to go kill the bad guys. Yeah, it was a weak movie.

I thought it was alright, they did squeeze as much violence and emotion they could into it and some parts didnt really seem well thought up. It really got on my nerves when they shot him on the dock, he was sitting there for so long and didnt bleed to death, kinda weird.

The only people so far I have heard say it was good are people whose judgement in movies I generally dont trust. I think I'll be waiting until this one comes out on video.

I haven't even seen Kill Bill volume 1.

This movie was about as good as the original 80s version. Edit: The tag line "The Punishment begins April 2004" it wasn't joking.

I also find it funny they have a spoof of the White Eyebrow master in Kill Bill.

Wow! And wait 6 months for it to come onto DVD, and not get to enjoy what little fun I had watching it, by not having surround sound or the big screen even though I have an HDTV.

And I spent $6.50

See, what got me was he took a bullet to the chest and lived. Then he got his *** handed to him by The Russian, and then 5 minutes later he is walking fine. He should of had all his ribs broken by that dude.

It was pretty obvious Harry Heck was there to kill him. That scene in the diner to obvious.

The bullet to the chest got me too..I also thought the death of his wife and son would have been more dramatic, then just running them also.

Last thing...the ending was pathetic..what an offical way to put up a fight against the guy who killed your family. I thought there would have been a badass fight squence between him and Mr. Saint (travolta). Guess not.

And Travolta sucked, big time.

I haven't seen it yet, but from what is sounds here, the best way to enjoy comic book heroes is still by reading comics.

Well, I only paid $5.25 (x 3) and I thought it was a good movie. He's the one that said it was "God awful". Then he said it made him want to cry. Then later he said something about actually having some fun watching it.

I don't start arguments, wierdo. :P

It wasn't THAT bad. Or at least how some people are putting it. It was enjoyable, simple as that. It may not have the best plot, but it wasn't "god awful" by any means (god awful - see Master of Disguise or The Whole ten Yards).

So, if you want to go to a movie just to watch some good ol fashioned butt-whoopin, go see it. If you don't, go see somethign else.

Personally, I thought it abit slow but that being due to developing the character so I forgive it. Also, I think the actor did a good job of playing the title role but he really didn't fit the comic image much.

Oh, and they destroyed the GTO way too early! Hope he rebuilds it for the sequel.

My brother and I really, really, really liked this movie. It's really the best movie I've seen since RotK.

Now, I don't read comics, and never have. I don't know how it "should" be in comparison to comic books, but I will tell you that it rocks. In fact, they gave me a free comic book with spider man vs. punisher, and it was the most boring thing ever. Maybe I don't "get" comic books or something, but this movie was a lot better and more interesting than all the other comic book movies I've seen and hated: the ben affleck one with the blind guy, spider man, hulk, hellboy, xmen, etc.

The point was, the guy didn't have some super powers from stupid radioactive spiders or something, he was just ultra PISSED.

That's cool, even if the issue was boring at least they gave ya somethin.

I didn't see it today, opted to see Walking Tall since I missed the earliest Punisher showing. (Next one would've required waiting for hours...)

I was wondering, it says breif nudity on the warning, how far does the nudity go? I'm going to see it with my aunt but don't really find the idea comfortable if theres direct scenes of jiggling boobs or somethin.

The issue you got Brian was the first appearance of The Punisher. I left it at the theatre by mistake. And yeah, there are no super powers involved, but I still find it dumb how he was able to take so much damage and literally walk away.

Jedigreedo, you see breasts for literally 1/10 of a second. It is when one of the characters is talking about John Travolta's character and it shows him in a strip bar for like 1 or 2 seconds. You see them then. Other then that, nothing (other than string bikinis). But it is incredibly violent. Like guys having there faces burned off violent.
