What's your favorite game?

I don't think this really requires any explanation...

I'll have to say one of the hitman sequels. There is a certain methodical demented facet to my personality that loves systematically assassinating people in a virtual world.

Anyway.... it's 'probably' Jedi Knight, simply because of it's editing vast-ness.

Computer game: Well GAME would be Close Combat 3... with Serious Sam 2 a VERY close second.

Simulation would be FS2002 with 767PIC/RFP or perhaps Falcon4+SP4

Board game would be chess.

Presuming that these are video games we're talking about, it might be a tie. Currently, though, peraps Perfect Dark. It has the best missions/levels I've ever seen, and all the music is excelent. While there are some performance problems that are associated with the game being for the N64, (I'm given to understand that they're about as bad as those in Halo 2, so they should be acceptable) the graphics, physics, and AI were unprecendented for the time. While the graphics quickly dropped down with the proliferation of Q3A-engine games like JO as well as the Unreal 2.0 engine, it took until Havok for the physics to be outdated, and the AI systems still hang with the best when it comes to FPS games.

If your internet connection is acceptable, there happens to be a 800MB demo for the game... It's the real scariness that Doom3 failed to be, and I won't forget the first chapter, that just seemed so... Real.

And don't worry; the demo, if you're not blitzing through it, will take several hours to get through.

That's highly subjective. I was spooked only 2-3 times in Ravenholm, and many many more times in Doom 3.

Well, I've only tried the demos... *shrugs* and I wasn't frightened by doom3 so much as annoyed. Things have to be sudden to be frightening; I think perhaps the biggest scare from a game I've had might've been the first time I heard the thunder in Morrowind.

Also, does the demo include all of chapters 1 (Intro) and 6 (Ravenholm)?

OK, here goes.

My favorite game, I'll have to say is Half Life. HL provided plenty of entertainment when I got it, but it was the secondary mods like TFC and CS that kept me entertained for years (still today) afterwards.

JK follows it closely as it was one of the few games from that era that I could run smoothly on my old PC. The mods again kept me playing, and I still love JK as well.

The following 5 favourites come after HL and JK;

1) Zelda (Any)
2) Final Fantasy (any)
3) Halo Series
4) Ace Combat Series
5) Call of Duty Series
