How long do you think Massassi will last?

With a new year approaching, I thought I'd ask for everyones thoughts. Just to make everyone appreciate it a bit more if they're thinking of ... leaving :eek:

My assumption: When JK no longer runs on computers because of lack of backwards compatibility.

My question is how Brian Lozier went from having Massassi killed by Juzsoft and wanting revenge to becoming the CEO of Juzsoft?

I honestly think that new people will come each year, to replace the old. As well, I think massassi will live on as long as brian pays rent. Even then, I wouldn't be too suprised if another massassian took massassi under their arms and hosted it.

I reckon we'd probably dwindle down and down in a few years to a few people, and then it'd just fade into obscurity. I don't want it to happen, 'cause it's a one-of-a-kind community... but yeah, if Brian gave control to someone else (like he did a few years ago to Blujay, was it?) then they'd definitely try to keep it going.

I seem to recall people estimating that Massassi would die in a couple of months; during 1999, as I recall... Jedi Knight is pretty damn dead, yeat there's still a full page of new posts each day. If Massassi hasn't died by now, I don't see why it will any time soon...

He revived Massassi, bought out Juzsoft, and merged the two into the company ExcelTech.

Interestingly enough, one of the forums I frequent filters out "In Soviet Russia," but then the single admin in charge of the forum has made a point of killing each and every joke that is made. Then again, "pwned" is filtered here. (try it if you don't believe me)

I think that Massassi will go up in flames once the filter becomes absurd to such an extent that it self-destructs as its studpidity reaches critical mass, and it collapses upon itself, providing enough heat for the plastic circuit boards of the server to melt.
