Yes, I have. I also know that Gabe doesn't like his images hotlinked off his site, which is why I upload them to my site before I post them.

gabe, who posts at TF.n tells people to link to his images (if you're linking to his site), rather than use IMG codes to post them.

Well taking into account he hosts the images, one would assume that he'd like to keep his bandwidth consumption at a minimum.

The first, while poor quality, is nothing "new". We've seen several images already between the Dooku/Anakin rematch.

Talk about sensory overload... The second pic is just that. There is WAY too much going on. And are those ships smoking in the distance? This is space. You don't have things that smoke in a vacuum.

Simple, the are over Corascaunt. What's to say they aren't in the atmosphere or in the sky and thats the horizon?

But still, yeah they are smoking...

Ok, being over Courscant can account for a decent portion of the action going on up there, but no where near all of it. I'm really of the opinion that if a scene with THAT much going on continues for more than a few minutes, no one will be able to keep track of what's going on. There's just too much to see. This is a bad thing.

As for being in the atmosphere... The entire thing looks like it's pretty far above any atmosphere. Even if it's only on the fringes of the atmosphere, I wouldn't expect you'd see that much smoke. The oxygen would be incredibly thin.

It looks neat, I'll give him that. But that's as far as it goes for me, "neat". I can't see that scene being excellent for anymore than a few short minutes.

There's no sound in space either, yet there is in Star Wars, because it's much more interesting and cool that way. Likewise, smoking ships = cool

And there's always the argument that the ships could be leaking their own atmosphere due to hull breaches and such, therefor making fire and/or smoke completely reasonable.


As for so much stuff going on... it really doesn't look all that much more than the battle of Endor, honestly. I think that shot looks awesome, and can't wait to see it in motion.

And keep in mind, the camera isn't going to be staying at that same exact angle for the entire battle. In that pic, it looks like the cameras are following those three clone fighters, where they'll probably fly by some stuff shooting it (with the camera following them), and then it would most likely cut to something else. Just watch the camera work for the battle of endor or naboo to get what I'm talking about. (The battle of Endor was, after all, an entire FLEET of SD's, along with the Rebel attack force AND the second death star. This looks big, but it doesn't look that much bigger to be "too much going on")

There really aren't that many ships. Its no different then the hundrends of ships from RotJ. The "overload" is being OVER THE PLANET. You are seeing the planet as the back drop so it's causing the overload. If that were taken in SPACE like RotJ then you'd be like "Awesome". There really aren't that many ships. Im sure I can find parts in RotJ with more ships then that.

Wow, talk about major spoilers. Anakin and Dooku fighting, and a giant space battle. Man, the whole movie is just ruined for me now.

Ive counted 30 ships, plus lots of little space fighters I couldnt count cause I couldnt tell if it was a fighter or part of the planet.
