Not from the card (which is awesome... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]) but from what it lacked. No HL2 Voucher. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] That sucks so much. I wonder if I can b*tch to ATi enough to get them to give me an activation code. It seriosly pisses me off... I spent more on the XT when I could've gotten an SE for less (and less performance) and gotten the voucher. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

EXACT same thing happened to me when I got my Asus 9600 XT in. I called up "I paid an extra $?? for my HL2 cupon, I don't have it" "Oh we didn't have any left in stock so we sent you a regular card without the offer"

Yeah it's only my freaking cash! don't worry about it. JEEEESE.

Heh, I bought a Ati Radeon 9600 SE a week ago that had the half-life 2 offer as well but because my Geforce FX 5600 XT wasn't broken as I thought after I installed a new motherboard and CPU, I returned the card back to the store so I never knew if it had a voucher or not.

No. The giveaway isn't over. They keep switching cards. But what pisses me off is that I bought it at Best Buy, and had the option of taking home a lesser card but it would've had the voucher. I got the more expensive card figuring "hey, it says 'HL2 Preferred Graphics' and the card above and below this one have the voucher, so this must have it too." WRONG. I'm so freaking pissed... ergh...

sarcasm isn't appreciated. My assumption apparently should've been correct. I recieved an email already from ATi stating that I would recieve a voucher by mail now that the card is registered. So screw you and your sarcasm and rolleyes.

wtf, I called up ATi, it was a bunch of Asians that couldn't understand me, then I got a person who spoke english after telling the story like 4 times, and they said YOU NO GET CUPON KEKEKEKEKE!

Did you make sure to call the North America hotline and not the Asia hotline; I'm sure the numbers look very similar...

I bought an ASUS 9600XT last week and got my HL2 voucher with it... I heard somewhere ATI was going to stop giving free vouchers to board manufacturers for the 9600, and was only going to continue giving them free for the 9800 (manufacturers would have to pay for vouchers if they wanted to give them away with the 9600 from now on). Damned if I can find the link though... anyone else hear of this?

Yes, ATI stated a few weeks ago that they stopped putting vouchers in all but the 9800XT boxes. I guess this just proves that if you whine and complain enough about something you weren't supposed to get in the first place, you can still get it..
