Because I got a best buy gift certificate and I'm getting a new computer fairly soon i decided it was time to get some better games. So i got...

KOTOR - Considering ive heard so much goodness about this im expecting some good gaming.

Rainbow Six 3 - I loved Rogue Spear and this looks even better.

What are your opinions and ratings for these games?

KotOR was damn awesome, possibly the best Star Wars game ever. In my opinion.

KotoR - God Like.
RS3 - Meh. Asi-Asi. Purgatory Like. Okay.
Think while it's still legal.

Kotor smelt nice, RS3, No idea.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

RS3 seemed to look better than it played.

Kotor just sucked.

...

In the sense that it wasn't awesome.

Raven Shiled MP is one of the best games I have ever played. No stupid hit point system either. Dnl the demo and you'll see what I mean.

RS3

graphics are alright if you have a decent ATI card TURN ON TRUFORM in the control panel the models are needlessly low poly...

no truform

truform

it will lower your framerate so check your framerates with it on if they aren't too low leave it on it's worth it

the single player isn't too bad but the multiplayer is where the real fun is
eat right, exercise, die anyway

KotOR was awesome. If you like RPGs and SW, it's win win.

I see what you mean DrkJedi. Looks a ton better.

So far it seems like the average massassi mixed reviews :p. Unfortunately I can't play these until my new computer gets here so they're just sitting on my desk :(. I WANT TO PLAY THEM SO BAD.

Unfortunately my father found out that i planned to get MS office 2k3 pro from my cousin and since he didnt want me doing anything illegal he made me wait until i earned the money. So i have to save 99 dollars or whatever it is to get MS word. I need word so i can have it for school. Otherwise I would have it right now if my dad wasnt a pain. I could care less about the other programs that come with office. *sigh*

Anyone care to wanna know my system stats while you sitting here reading forums? just ask and u will receive but im not feeling like typing it all right now...

Wait, if you don't want to pay for word, why don't you get just something that's free, legally? Like OpenOffice or something like that... although I'm sure Cool Matty knows a superior free word suite...

StarOffice is free to students and educators.

And RS3 is probably my all time favourite FPS. It's amazingly fun; try the demo.
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

It's gotten me through many a school paper.

Actually, Word is nice. And someone already mentioned OpenOffice, which would be my other suggestion.

Abiword is also good, but haven't used it much personally.

If your cousin had bought the "student and teacher" edition, its legal to install it on up to 3 computers. You should find out weather or not it is, and how many machines it as been installed on and use that argument against you father.

Oh I have no moral problems getting that program :p. But unfortunately my dad wont let me and he will know if i get it. What really pisses me off is that he plays quite a few of illegaly burnt video games. Oh the sick mans irony...

BTW keep commenting on the following games i mentioned. That is sort of the reason i started this topic :) I will check out open office as well.

I loved R63's singleplayer, very challenging, requires good tactics, a little frustrating though. I was expecting the multiplayer to be more fun, I didn't really fancy it... but that's coming from an ADD ridden Call of Duty action fanboy.
2005-01-04, 7:18 AM #26
Yes. I notice in a lot of the R6 games it can be challenging and that's why I like them.

Rainbow Six 3 is possibly one of the best games I have... Nice pick.
