And you're not willing to admit that what constitutes "better" is purely opinion? Frankly, Opera is faster, the interface is faster, and it does more of what I want how I want, so Opera is better. And I'm a software developer. I don't mind paying for GOOD software?
Well it's obviously preference. I (obviously, from the screenshot) don't use Windows. I have this nice operating system called Linux, and the window manager I use, called IceWM, has this neat feature called "Multiple Desktops." This basically means that I can have up to 9 different desktops all with their own resolutions, backgrounds, settings, etc. I switch between them using alt-f1 - alt-f4 (I only use 4, not 9). I always open my browser maximized on desktop 2, so whenever I want to see my browser, I press alt-f2 and there it is. I do all my programming on desktop 1, and thus have multiple text-editor and console windows open there. #3 is used for xchat and log monitoring console windows, and #4 is used for instant messaging windows. That's all I run regularly, so the rest of my not-so-common apps get open on whatever desktop is least cluttered or whatever one I happen to be on.
Anyway, I still think it should remember it's window position and size. It simply doesn't work. Mozilla works fine, so it's a firefox thing >
I'm not the only one having this problem, either, there are tons of posts about it on mozillazine forums. Also, although you can specify size and position at the command-line (and thus through shortcuts) - it completely ignores them.
