Get Opera. It automatically opens those new window links in a background tab. I believe Opera is $39 but there are websites with these codes....

In TabBrowser Extensions and TabBrowser Preferences, there is an option to "Open tabs instead of new windows for:" and then a slew of options, including new windows opened by webpages. Makes things much easier, especially since I hide my taskbar by default. Though I use middle-click most of the time, this feature comes in handy for when I forget.

I can't say I'm with you on this one blujay. I use Firefox as well. I middle-click links too. It's become habit. And if I don't, and a link opens up in a new window...oh well. Most of the time, I want the other website open, case-in-point, forums. I would hate if I have to hit back every time I click a link here. New windows allows me to view more content from forums. And really, is it that hard to go Ctrl+W? GBK's right. Popup windows do have a function if implemented correctly.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
