Were there goombas in the first Super Mario World for SNES? Or just koopas?

There was goombas. They are actually the first monster you see in the game I believe.

I played some weird Mario on my Commodore 64. The goombas were like triangles...For powerups you got muchrooms...and pineapples....

Sorry, the first guy you see is a koopa. He's not in his shell, though. I play my SNES religiously, still, too much. I <3 SNES.
