Please join me in this campaign. I hope that Del Rey/LucasBooks will publish these Star Wars classic novels out in hardback editions in the near future and mabye if enough fans like myself email del rey attention BMitchell@randomhouse.com this can happen!

The Han Solo Adventures trilogy all together in one hardback novel which are Han Solo at Star's End, Han Solo's Revenge, and Han Solo and The Lost Legacy which were published in a trade paperback edition and written by Brian Daley and came out in 1995!

The Lando Calrissian Adventures trilogy all together in one hardback novel which are Lando Calrissian and the Mind Harp of Sharu, Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, and Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of Thonboka which were published in a trade paperback edition and written by L. Neil Smith which came out in 1994!

I would also like to see you also publish in the near future a special hardback edition reprinting of the paperback novel Splinter of The Minds Eye that was written by Alan Dean Foster!

Please feel free to just send an email to the address above with a copy of this message saying that you also would like to see these books published. All of these came out in paperback but never in a hardback edition.

thank you and may the force be with you

I'm curious. Why would you want to pay 15+ dollars more for something you can already get pretty cheaply in paperpack?

The hardcover editions have all new digital fonts, and include additional bonus paragraphs that Lucas didn't have the technology to write back in the 70's.

He used "text based CGI" to make them better.

Because, if the book is well-enough written, it's nice to have it in hardback. See: my Wheel of Time books.

I agree with wolfy. WoT is good to have in both paperback and hardcover, imho. I write in my paperback, and keep the hardcover on the shelf for easy referencing when needed.

I went and bought the original Thrawn Trilogy and Hand of Thrawn trilogy in hardback a few monhs ago despite the fact I've owned the paperback editions for years. I just wanted them cause it's easier to read.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I just bought the softcovers the other day (The Hand of Thrawn). I've been wanting to get into SW novels for years, but have been to wound up in fantasy.

I own The Wheel of Time series in hardback as well. I also have most of The Sword of Truth in hardback, and hope to eventually get all of A Song of Ice and Fire in hardback.

Same here. Softcovers make excellent reference books.

pfft... buy novels? My wife works in the cataloging department of the administration of 15 libraries. They have a standing order to put aside ALL new Star Wars & Star Trek novels as they arrive. I've read the ALL. :D

Currently I'm in the middle of Clone Wars: Jedi Trial

Although it's not complete, the Timeline of Star Wars novels shows every Star Wars book I've read.
