It works fine and windows detects it but the drive doesnt show up in My Computer! So how do I lable my drive and get it to show up?

Is this the drive you're booting from, or a slave? From what you've said, I would guess it's a slave...

Don't even need to use fdisk. Just use the Windows partioner in Administative Tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management

It's pretty self explanatory there. Just right click on the drive and make a partition.

SAJN_Master, always use primary partitions if you can. You may only have up to 4 partitions per hard drive.

A logical partition is simply a primary partition with one or more so called 'logical' partitins inside of it, thus overcoming the 4 partition limit.

So yeah, just use fdisk /dev/hdb or whatever and partition away. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] If you're on windows, use the disk managment tool under administration.

It's all set now. It's one solid 80 GB..well windows WHORES 5 gig of it. I dunno why. But it says like 75.43 Gig or something like that.

No, that has nothing to do with Windows. It is simply the way the vendors list the drive capacity. The reason is because 2 ** 10, or 10-bit is equal to 1024, not 1000. This throws the number off, letting the package "lie" about it's capacity.
