www.bluesnews.com is reporting that a Battlefront demo for the Xbox will be inside the Star Wars Trilogy DVD set that is scheduled to be out on 09/21. Not only that, but supposedly all versions of the full game will be out the same day.

Among the various Force-powered goodies in the four disc set will be a couple of gaming related bonuses, including the Star Wars Battlefront demo for Xbox, and word is that all versions of the full game are slated for release that day as well:

• Star Wars Battlefront( Trailer and Playable Demo - Now that the greatest Star Wars battles are on DVD, video game players can live them like never before in the new video game Star Wars: Battlefront from LucasArts, available for PlayStation(r)2, Xbox(r) and PC-CD. The STAR WARS TRILOGY DVD will offer a trailer featuring an exciting look at the video game, along with a special demo for Xbox users that lets users fight the Battle of Endor as a Rebel or Imperial soldier and drive AT-STs, ride speeder bikes and use different weapons to lead their side to victory. The full version of Star Wars Battlefront will also be released Sept. 21 for the PlayStation(r)2 computer entertainment system, Xbox(r) video game system from Microsoft, and PC.

• Star Wars: Episode III Making the Game Preview - Video-game players will be able to experience the stunning Jedi action of Episode III themselves in the new Star Wars: Episode III game. This special feature shows how game developers at LucasArts worked behind-the-scenes and on the set to create the most authentic Jedi experience ever. The Star Wars: Episode III game will be available in Spring 2005 for the PlayStation(r)2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(r) video game system from Microsoft.</font>

I think its a combination of both. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Yeah, this was announced a while back, and I dont think too many people have been impressed by what they've seen of the game so far. Personally, I'm looking forwards to Republic Commando a lot more than Battlefront.

Well, keep in mind, BF1942 didn't have amazing visuals, either, but the gameplay was outstanding, and Battlefront looks to be a BF1942-style game.

Well, I agree with most people here. It's interesting, but does anyone else know how many times websites post info that is proven wrong (i.e. Halo 2 release dates)? So while Bluewhatever.com may say that it's fact, doesn't mean it's true. On the other hand (or foot), they could have some inside info (ya know, a mole in Lucas Arts... Hmm...) on SWBattleFront, and be giving us a good report on what they know (or think). I am kinda on the middle with this. I really don't know what to think about this. Thanks for telling us.

I'm pretty sure that LucasFilm and LucasArts have made official announcements stating that the Demo will be on the DVDs.
