Given this clue, I'm sure you'll guess who I am:

DarthOsh87: hmm... hello?
it's late... I know...
[other person]: i think you have the wrong person
DarthOsh87: colin
DarthOsh87: is me
[other person]: i dont know any colins
[other person]: sorry
DarthOsh87: this isn't kelli?
must be a typo in sn, sorry
[other person]: no its not. no worries. bye

I am thankful, however, that this person was nice about the mistake and that I didn't accidentally contact someone obnoxious who would curse me off for this.

So, comment on this and/or share your experiences in which you've made a dunce of yourself ( ).
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

Reminds me of the time I tried to e-mail my grandma and mispelled her name. She had dona for her e-mail instead of donna, which is how her name is spelled. The person was rather confused at everything I was writing to her. :)

My great-grandma was trying e-mail, and her first name is Elizabeth, middle initial Z. So her e-mail was ezeager@[server].com.

I once IMed a girl I had thought I met at a party. I was trying to get her to guess who I was and told her I looked good in a speedo (long story), turns out I had the wrong IM. That was pretty funny. :p

My friend signed into MSN once, and I was pissed at him, so I initiated a conversation with, starting with "you stupid mother..." you get the idea. Anyway, by my luck, it turned out to be his mom. I felt really, really stupid.

I remember how someone sent everybody on his contact list, including me, an e-mail which was meant to be very personal, to a close friend. He even said he loved her in that letter, even though she had a boyfriend.. Boy, wasn't that a mistake.

It's strange, sometimes MSN screws up an random people will show up on my contact list. So I'll message them and be like "Who are you?", and they'll be like "Why the **** are you on my contact list? How did you get this address?", and I'll be like "It just showed up. I don't know what happened."

And then I block them because they seemed like a prick anyways. Though it's funny, I once met a girl this way, and we've been great friends ever since.

Who the hell goes to a bar to pick up women and gets a screen name for an instant messenger client ?

Am is missing out and there is a turbo-nerd bar somewhere.

Sometimes I get people adding me to their list, with names like $#^@%$^RPRINCESS$#666#@$^-L??É5~)4?U7, and they have the nerve to ask me who I am. My freaking screenname is "Mike", I don't know how much easier I can make it. That's the fastest way into the blocklist.

That's happened to me a lot, and I've met several people that I became close friends with.
