The whole .NET Passport thing is full of holes. Anyone could take over your account without even having to know the password.

The only thing I could suggest would be to poke around for Passport exploits. You might be able to wrestle back control of your account that way. :p
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Every time I look for some password exploits I end up gettin a virus or something. I'd do it, but I have no idea what to look for.

I can't believe there are STILL people without Gmail accounts. It's vile!

Thanx for the offer, but I already have a gmail account.

Im more interested in getting back on my old messenger and into my old account so that I can possibly retrieve old contacts that I no longer have.

I think its probably more likely that you didnt sign into your account for a few months, so they deleted it. And then someone else came along and registered the name.

Your account expires after so long then it's up for grabs again. You can't get it back you lost it... it's not yours anymore.

I don't really know how much we can discuss this... but "brute-force" type programs have always been extremely effective for when you forget your hotmail password ;)
